Watching erotic films is a wonderful way to spice things up, but there are a billion X-Rated films out there… how do you choose? How to find something that both men and women will enjoy? All of the box-covers out there on the so-called 'couples' films look like they were made last year…then you play them and SURPRISE! It's circa 1980: big hair, bad make-up, cheap hotel rooms with ugly bed spreads and bow-chick-a-bow-bow playing in the background! All of them promise attractive people, sexy scenery…even (gasp!) the holy grail of porn; a story line, but I'm sure we've all encountered this disappointment from time to time. The other women-friendly 'story' films we've been carrying are the ones by Candida Royalle. They sell well for us, but we've had a lot of requests from customers who want women-friendly films that are more current, and ones that men will like more than Candida Royalle's. Cameron Grant is a producer who has been out for awhile and made his producing debut with Andrew Blake on a movie called Hidden Obsessions. His films are high budget; filmed in beautiful, exotic locations, all of the actors are gorgeous, the music is an up-dated, sexy, jazz style. These do have a bit of a story line …and I still say that with a grain of salt… but what works here is that there is generally less dialogue than other films, so the acting seems better. They are explicit, like movies in the general market, but women like them more because they are so beautiful. Usually one film will cover a variety of subject matters and venture into all aspects of sexuality, so even if a person isn't interested in the particular arrangement in one scene, the next one might be completely different, plus everything else is so attractive on the screen it seems to be easy to watch. These movies are SEXY!!! All of the movies would be very easy to sell at home-parties, because the variety of subjects in each film would cover a broader audience. Working in the stores, I've often told men these are a 'safe bet' to bring home to their partner…especially when she hasn't seen many movies, or hasn't liked any of them in the past. A series of short erotic stories, that covers many different types of sexual situations.
