Both anal plugs are made of 100% silicone, which is of the highest safety rating on EdenFantasys. Silicone is non-porous, and fantastic for a beginner's anal toy because it has the safety rating of glass or steel without the weight of the latter materials. The lighter silicone makes holding the plug in much easier for beginners.
The plug itself is smooth and firm, but has flexibility for comfort. Both plugs are of a simply smooth texture, as they are more suitable for beginners. If you are looking for a textured plug for more experienced users, you might want to look elsewhere, but for those who like simplicity these plugs are fantastic.
The lubricant included is water-based. Silicone lubes should not be used with these products, as silicone reacts with other silicone and breaks down the anti-bacterial properties, making it less safe for use.
The blue plug included with this kit measures one inch in diameter, while the black plug measures two inches in diameter. I believe the only downside to this kit is the large jump in sizes between the two. A third plug, measuring one and a half inches in diameter, would make this kit absolutely perfect for most people.
Still, I think those easing into anal play would benefit from the two sizes being available for them to use. Depending on the mood, the situation, or your experience, you can switch between the small and large plug at any time.
The lubricant comes in a one-ounce bottle, which is plenty to get you started with this kit. You will probably not need much lubrication, as the plugs are very smooth, but use as much as you think you need.
These plugs are very comfortable, as they are firm but flexible. They should stay in fairly well for most users. In addition, these plugs should not cause you any pain. Anal plugs, in general, should not hurt. If it hurts, try using more lubricant, going down a size, or switching your position during insertion.
Silicone can be cleaned in many different ways. To completely sanitize these plugs, try boiling them in water for a few minutes, putting them in the top shelf of your dishwasher, or soaking them in a 10% bleach solution. They should always be completely sanitized when sharing with partners or going from anal to vaginal use.
You can also clean them between uses with toy spray, toy wipes, or warm water and a mild soap. Keep in mind, this will clean the product but not completely sanitize it. Do not share with partners until you have completely sanitized the plugs.
Storing is fairly simple. The plugs are mildly tacky, but not "sticky," in my opinion. They may collect dust in storage, but it can be simply rinsed off before use. To avoid this issue, store in the original packaging or a plastic bag. However, keep in mind that these are not discreet ways to store the plugs, as the packaging is quite obviously for a sex toy, and a plastic bag would show what is inside.
The front of the package features James Deen and states the product is an "Anal Training Kit." The package is not discreet, so be aware of that if you have children or roommates.
Inside, there is a photo of James Deen and a clear plastic case with the plugs and lubricant inside.
The back has some information from Doc Johnson about the product.
