The material is 100% silicone and body-safe. Silicone is 10 on the EF safety scale, and can be sanitized by the usual methods of boiling for 3 min, soaking in a 10% bleach solution, cleaning in a dishwasher, or using toy cleaners. Soap and water is fine between uses if not sharing with a partner, too. The silicone is plushy and flexible. I was kind of hoping it would be firmer and provide prostate stimulation, but that's not really the case.
This silicone, like most, will and does attract dust and lint, so washing or rinsing before use is a good idea.
This toy is food-grade material, hypoallergenic, latex-free, nonporous and phthalates free, for those concerned with product materials.
The Don Juan is 4 1/2" long, with 3 1/2" being insertable. Its diameter at the widest is 1". It has a series of 3 bulges that you can feel upon insertion or removal, and a tapered base for safe anal insertion. It weighs .5 oz and is harness compatible, but it's pretty small for that type of use, to be honest.
This is definitely a beginner-sized toy. I am far from a size queen when it comes to anal play, but this left me wanting something bigger, as I have gotten more experienced with larger anal toys recently. It is perfect for an anal beginner, though, and comfortable to insert/wear. Average users might gain some pleasure from Don Juan, but not as much if you only like thick or deep penetration.
The toy is small enough to travel with, hidden away in a suitcase.
This is nice silicone. Not quite Lelo quality, but decent. I wish this toy was tapered more, so it would stay put during sex or long-term wear. It is very comfortable to sit on, though, and with just 3.5" insertable length, you won't be getting poked too deeply or uncomfortably.
You could use this with a harness, but it's rather short for that. The handle can be manipulated for thrusting by oneself or with a partner.
This is an ideal beginner's anal toy, for someone who just wants to get started with anal play and not have any pain or stretching. Advanced players and size queens will not find much interest with this one.
It feels good, and comfortable, but does not provide as much stimulation as I would have hoped for. It conforms with your anatomy and stimulates your anus, but doesn't really hit the prostate much (at least mine). Perhaps it would if it were more rigid, which is my preference.
You can wash the Don Juan with hot soap and water, with a 10% bleach solution, boil it for 3 minutes, toss it in the dishwasher, or wipe it with antibacterial wipes/cleaners. I usually wipe with an Edenfantasys wipe before heading to the bathroom for a more complete cleaning. You will probably get lube all over your fingers and hands when you remove this from your rear.
It is recommended to only use water-based lubes with the Don Juan. Do not leave it sitting in direct sunlight for extended periods, or expose it to extreme heat for prolonged periods.
It is not recommended to use silicone-based lubricant with silicone toys, of course, because it can degrade the material. You can, however, do a spot test at your own risk, as some silicone users can attest.
The packaging is a very basic, small, thin cardboard box with a picture showing the product. It is recyclable, but not a great storage solution. I quickly threw mine away. There were no instructions included, but I didn't really expect any either. It's about as basic as it gets.
This is a nice toy for a beginner looking for a first anal toy. I prefer toys tapered so they stay put, and I really enjoy prostate stimulation more than just anal stimulation. That said, this is easy to insert and comfortable, so if you are just getting started and are anal-curious, don't hesitate to pick this up. The price is reasonable for a silicone toy vs. some others.
If you are an advanced anal player, you will want something bigger. This is not a toy that will stay inserted, unless you are sitting down or maybe lying on your back.
