Best use:
The Super Big Guy is a new butt plug from Doc Johnson that fits into their expanding lineup of premium silicone toys. Comparable in size and construction to the Doc Johnson Super Big End, the Super Big Guy is on the larger end of the girth spectrum, but with a different shape. Instead of using the classic cone-shaped design, this toy has a large rounded shaft which is consistent in girth (5 1/4" circumference, 1 5/8" diameter). This shaft is maintained for just under 3", at which point it begins to flare out to its largest width (6 7/8" circumference, 2 1/8" diameter) over the course of an inch. After reaching the widest point, the bulge tapers, over the course of a half inch, to the narrowest part of the shaft. This neck after the bulge is a place for the outer sphincter to rest after taking the full diameter, and is a bit narrower than the rest of the shaft (4 5/8" circumference, 1 1/2" diameter) to help keep the toy in place once inserted. Finally, the neck quickly flares out to the base of the toy, which is large and firm enough to keep the plug secure, combating any chance of losing the toy internally.-
Material / Texture:
The Super Big Guy is made of Doc Johnson's premium silicone. Unlike PVC or rubber toys, the silicone has no odor or taste, and is not at all sticky or oily. The material is firmer than most silicone toys, and only yields slightly when squeezed. It is somewhat flexible, but less so than most dildos of similar girth. The toy has a smooth, semi-gloss finish and holds onto water-based lube well, staying slick in use. Like most silicone toys, the finish is draggy to the touch when dry, but is less tacky than most. The charcoal color is an attractive layered pattern of metallic gunmetal gray, with swirls visible on the underside of the base.

Design / Shape / Size:
The design of the Super Big Guy, along with the rest of the "Guy" series, is a unique hybrid of dildo-like shaft and plug-like bulb and base for holding the toy in place hands-free. The closest plug in terms of design is the Tantus Tulip. Whereas the Tulip is more neck oriented for retention once inserted, the Super Big Guy is more shaft oriented, allowing it do double duty as a fairly effective thrusting toy, provided you stay relatively shallow. Though at its widest point the toy is sizable, its shaft is an approachable girth (at 1 5/8" diameter), expanding the range of sensation possible, depending on how far it's inserted.
The Super Big Guy is a non-realistic toy, and does not emulate any phallic features. That said, it is recognizable as a sex toy, and "Doc Johnson" is stamped on the side of the base.- Length:

Performance:
Because the tip of the Super Big Guy is large, firm, and rounded, it takes a bit of warming up to be able to first insert the toy. However, once inserted, it slides in easily up until the bulge. The bulge is nicely ramped for insertion and, provided you can take the girth (2 1/4" diameter), it is pleasant to work in. Once past the widest point, it slips in with a rush and locks in well against the base. The base is substantial enough to feel secure and is cut well, with rounded corners to make it comfortable to leave in place. The only detraction is the short neck, which limits how well the toy stays locked in. I was able to move around without it popping out, but a longer neck would enhance its "here to stay" feeling.

Care and Maintenance:
As a premium silicone toy, the Super Big Guy is easy to care for. The material is compatible with water and oil-based lubes. After use, the plug can be cleaned with soap and water, and more thoroughly sanitized by boiling in water, dipping in a 10% bleach solution, or tossing in the sanitize cycle of the dishwasher. The toy can be stored in the original clamshell packaging or tossed in a drawer, etc. The base helps the toy stand up securely if stored upright. It does not seem to collect lint as easily as other silicone toys.

The Super Big Guy is enclosed in a plastic clamshell, with a paper insert describing the toy and its features. The insert contains mostly helpful information, though the claim that the toy has a "life-like feel" seems dubious. The packing is substantial enough to be reusable if desired. Alternatively, the plastic is marked #3 (PVC) for recycling.
