This soap has a gel-like consistency. It's not so thin that it runs off your hands and it stays in place long enough for you to lather it up. It doesn't make an excessive amount of bubbles and acts a lot like a typical shower gel. It feels pleasant in the application and washes off clean. This product is easy to use as it comes in a pump bottle dispenser.
The aroma is the best part of this product. It reminds me of a pina colada. The packaging has a tropical motif and writing about being taken away to a tropical island. The smell definitely sets the mood for that kind of fantasy! This soap feels very pampering, especially if you have good associations with the scent of pineapple and coconut. The scent lingers for a while after you use it, but mostly in the bathroom! It doesn't stay on the skin for too long. I don't find the scent to be overwhelming, and I am a bit sensitive to synthetic smells. It's not a super light smell either. Like in Goldilocks and the Three Bears, this smell falls in the middle, and it's just right. This sweet-smelling soap would be great paired with a coconut moisturizer after your shower or bath.
At 15 oz. you get a nice big bottle of this cleanser and it should last for quite a while! I found this soap performed exactly as I think soaps should. Typically I'm a big fan of Dr. Bronner's and I was quite happy with this change to my shower routine. Just lather the soap on and rinse it off. Easy as that! I am into the smell of it, especially because it's the middle of winter and I can use a bit of tropical pick-me-up. It's not quite as moisturizing as Dr. Bronner's, but I temper that by using a moisturizer after my shower.
