Dolce Dreams is described as a 'whipped body lotion' and fits with that description. It is a thick lotion that squeezes out slowly, has no runniness and spreads easily. Rubbing the lotion in is easy and it leaves skin feeling silky not greasy. When applied to the skin, this lotion stays right where you put it until you rub it in.
The scent of Dolce Dreams is called 'belloccia' which translates to irresistible in Italian. According to the Principessa Beauty website, the perfume oil of the same name describes the scent as 'opening with ethereal nuances of peach and vanilla flower, cascades into middle notes of night blooming jasmine and ylang ylang and bottom notes of sandalwood and warm amber dry down to a warm, sensual finish.' I definitely get the same scent elements, so I believe they are the same scent. The combination becomes a soft, sweet, and freshly clean floral that is enjoyable. The scent is strong enough to smell on skin but doesn't overpower everything in the room. I really like the smell of this lotion and find myself sniffing my hands when it is on.
Dolce Dreams does a nice job of moisturizing and scenting skin. I used it post-shower for all over body moisturizing as well as for spot moisturizing throughout the day. I love how smooth and silky it feels on my skin. It does require reapplication any time you wash your hands but lasts for hours on skin that isn't exposed to water. There is no need to wash the lotion off after application unless you need to have fragrance free hands for one reason or another.
I have a hard time deciding if I like the scent or the feel of the lotion better. They're both pretty great. The lotion is so creamy and enriching feeling and it leaves me feeling pampered. The scent is different from any other lotion I've used, but in a good way. There are plenty of floral and sweet lotions out there but none quite as intoxicating and seductive as this scent.
