This is one of the first erotica collections I've ever read, and I was not disappointed. It's filled with wonderful writing and varying stories that hook you right away.
I cannot recommend it enough. Read more
The stories in Best Lesbian Erotica 2011 are all well-written and contain a wide variety of locations, couples, and steamy sex. Whether on a ski lift or in an alley, on a train or in a house, the sex is hot and erotic, even when it’s brutal. While all of the stories may not appeal to all, Lea DeLaria has done a great job gathering tales that are as varied as their authors. Read more
The answers to pretty much anything you've ever wanted to know involving sex are contained in this easy-to-read instructional book. Diagrams and conversational writing accompany in-depth looks at everything from multiple orgasms, creating lasting relationships, depression and sex, and BDSM. A great book for anyone at any stage of their sexual journey. Read more
Fast Girls is a great collection of erotica. The stories are all hot and encompass a variety of women and situations, although there are more that contain kink than others (not a bad thing for me). These Fast Girls don’t fit any one type, but they do all have one thing in common – they all go after what they want and need. This is probably the best erotica collection I've read. Read more
This collection of erotica has some good stories, but stumbles and falls on too many of them. Although some selections are well written and sexy, there are too many amateurish writings in the book and the collection simply doesn't hold together with a unified theme.
It has some bright spots, but Bussel needs to choose the selections more carefully. An attempt to bring erotica into the mainstream which doesn't work out for either mainstream or erotic as a whole. Read more
If you love romance, or even if you think you will hate it, if you are a woman who loves women you NEED to read this book. It is a window into the moments in women's lives, that may not appear to be much from the outside, but are intimate, heartwarming, and totally worthy of envy. Read more
If you’re looking for a good read and a bit of romance, Best Lesbian Romance 2011 isn’t a bad choice. The stories are well written, but they aren’t erotic nor are they something to get off to. Rather, they’re for a light read about love, romance, and relationships new and old. Read more
Overall, I feel that the book was well worth my time. It taught me many great techniques and covered several topics I hadn't originally considered before in the world of same-sex sexual encounters. It gave me more confidence and really whetted my appetite to go out and have my first girl-on-girl experience. Read more
I wouldn't ever reference this book for a paper in class, but for a random straight girl looking to get in on some cunt action, this is definitely a very informative guide. She covered fingering, finger fucking, oral sex, anal sex, and toys, toys, toys, all with awesome pictures of plastic dolls demonstrating. A little blasphemous, yes. Hilarious, without a doubt! The actual presentation of the book is done well, and it is very hot to look at, but instead of making it your ultimate guide to lesbian sex, it might be better off sitting on your coffee table. Read more
Best Gay Romance 2011
– With stories by Jameson Currier, Derrick Della Giorgia, David Holly, Anthony McDonald, Tyler Keevil, Jay Mandal, David May, Shanna Germain, Martin Delacroix, Simon Sheppard, Tom Mendicino, Edward More
For the die hard vampire genre fan this is a great read! The stories are lush, erotic and about a section of vampirism that sometimes gets overlooked; the lesbian vampire. Some of the stories are classics and some are quite contemporary but all have something to offer the interested reader. Read more
This book isn't worth reading. I would especially not suggest getting this book if you have problems with children (aged 13) being forced into having sex. Read more
Take Me There
– Take Me There is an erotic collection unlike any other, celebrating the pleasure, heat and diversity of transgender and genderqueer sexualities.
Take Me There is the only collection of trans/genderqueer erotica out there that I am aware of and it is a great introduction to a largely unrepresented group. This is a great collection of well-written erotic stories edited by Tristan Taormino, one of the biggest names in the alternative-erotica world. I would imagine that anyone with an open mind and an eagerness for well written erotica would find this to be as equally fascinating as I did. Read more
Take Me There features sexy stories that are rarely told--stories of people who don't adhere to traditional gender sterotypes or boundaries. The stories are hot and sexy at times, heartbreaking at others, but always poignant. This is a great intro to sexy sex that doesn't necessarily follow along with the traditional guidelines to erotica. Read more
