The Fantasy Bed Restraint system is quite possibly the best choice out there for your first foray into under the bed restraint systems. It hides away easily, is comfortable to use, and completely adjustable. This set doesn't look the prettiest, but it will last you a long time. Extremely heavy play might damage it, and you probably shouldn't look to use this for any kind of suspension, but for its intended use, this set will get the job done and then some.
You would start by centering it under your mattress. The middle section that should sit under the bed is 49" long and can be adjusted to be shorter if need be. On each end is a D ring that has a separate strap for each 'arm' to come off, one for each of your legs and each of your arms. Each 'arm' is just under 48" long and can also be made shorter. On the end of each of those is a keyring (a serious, legitimate keyring) that you would clip your cuff onto. All of the straps are made of a black nylon webbing. It's not rough or scratchy and doesn't appear to fray easily (unless it's cut), so should your bare skin encounter it while playing, you shouldn't have any problems.
The cuffs are made of a neoprene foam that's about 1/16" thick. It's not very pleasing to the eye, but to the skin, it's rather nice. Really soft and doesn't dig in and shouldn't leave any marks, even during heavier play. Each cuff is 10 1/2" long and 2" tall. On the outside of each one is a large velcro strip, a 6" strip of the rough side of the velcro, and more of the nylon webbing. It features the same keyring the end of each strap does, and features a clip similar to one you might find on the end of a leash.
These cuffs should fit a wide range of users comfortably, even more petite folks. My wrists are just under 6" around and I was very pleasantly surprised to find that I could secure these cuffs comfortably without worry that they might fall off in any way. My fiance's 10" ankles fit comfortably and even had room to spare inside the cuff still.
While the free eye mask that was included is indeed functional, it's not the greatest choice. It does make noise when it moves, sounding similar to a cross between a tarp and a trash bag. It looks and feels cheaply made and not like something that will hold up long term.
There was a smell to the set that I can't quite place my finger on. To me, it smelled "new". After it had a chance to air out, it wasn't noticeable anymore.
The general consensus we've come to is that the bigger the bed, the better this set will work. That doesn't mean you can't use it on say, a twin, but on our full size bed, neither of us felt extremely restrained without having to adjust the arms a lot. You will definitely be restrained from bringing your arms or legs in towards your body without the 'arms' being extended, but not from moving side to side. This means that you can undo your own restraints if you so choose. Some might not like that, but you can easily attach a spreader bar or something of that nature to the same spot the cuffs attach to if this is a worry for you.
All the cuffs were comfortable to wear for an extended period of time, provided they weren't put on too tightly.
This set survived some pretty good tugging and pulling, and didn't really shift all that much even when it was only being pulled from one side. It's also pretty discreet in that the foot cuffs can sit between the bed and the blankets, and you can drop the arm cuffs behind the bed so that they aren't out in the open.
You shouldn't have to do much to maintain this restraint set. If you have to clean any part of it, you can just wipe it down with a damp cloth wet with just clean water. For storage, if you don't want to keep it under your bed to be at the ready, you can do your best to fold it back up, and store it in a drawer. It doesn't take up much space at all, and would easily fit in a nightstand drawer without having to be the only thing in there.
The box itself is pretty nice. It's certainly not discreet by any means, since it is covered in photos of a lady enjoying being restrained on her own, but it's not embarrassingly tacky either. It would fit right in on the shelf at an adult store, but if it's not something you want people to see, go ahead and get rid of it. There weren't any instructions inside, but there is a diagram on the back that gives you a rough idea of how it's supposed to go underneath the mattress.
I wanted to show you a few things here:
The 'branching off' of each of the 'arms' from the middle section:
The keyring, plastic adjuster slide, and clip that hold the cuffs on:
And a shot of the construction of the cuff itself:

This was our first foray into restraints of any kind. We've talked about it before and definitely toyed with the idea, but hadn't actually gone as far as to make a purchase. Well thank you EdenFantasys for giving us the kick in the butt we needed. This set is absolutely the best choice for beginners, at least in our opinion. There's nothing scary about it, it's really easy to figure out, and it's a great way to figure out if you want to try something more elaborate. We didn't test it on anything bigger than a full size bed, which he already thinks is too small for him at 6' tall, but even me at 5'2" was still able to move around a lot more than I expected to be able to. It gets a solid 4 1/2 stars, but since I can't pass out half stars, it goes down to 4 because of the difficulty we had feeling 'completely restrained'.

I want this. ;]
Very clever that you don't need the four corner posts! This would be ideal for people renting furniture or college students who have no control over their bedset.

Oooh, looks like fun!
We used this on a queen sized bed and it was fine. But we put the straps coming up the sides, instead of over the top and bottom. I can't imagine this being too much fun when used as pictured. Way too easy to get out.
I like this but if you pull to hard the cuffs will break.
This is an amazing product!
looks really fun
This looks like a blast
This set doesn't look bad for the price.
Hey! Yes! Finally! A reason to set a bedtime for me and my playmate! *laughs hysterically*
