Best use:

First of all, a warning. This is not pure gold. At all. There probably isn't even a speck of gold in it. Since that's out of the way, let's move on, shall we?

Now that I look as though I have been frequenting strip clubs I will sit down to write this review. As with nearly everything glitter, it gets everywhere. If you're having an illicit affair, which I do NOT condone, this is not the toy to try with your new friend. However, if you just want a night of sparkly fun with your main squeeze this will help set the mood, if by the mood you mean fits of giggles as glitter attacks.

This isn't really for the advanced user. The whip isn't awful but there are definitely higher quality and nicer options out there if you are into regular or harder play. For the beginner, though, it's a great way to lighten the mood enough to introduce something new into the bedroom.

  • Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit:

    So now you get a picture of me looking ridiculous to see just how this fits! I have a somewhat smallish head and this is how it fits me. The elastic is pretty stretchy though so don't despair if you have a normal head!



    Now that that's out of the way, the elastic is pretty securely fastened on with nickel-free copper rivets and the mask itself contains a few more to help hold it together in addition to the stitching around the edges and the eyes. I foresee the elastic going first unless this gets worn quite often, honestly. But I've been wrong before. Also, there is now glitter all over my MacBook and couch. The spots are velvety at the black parts and the rest is textured glitter. For being a silly little mask it seems pretty well-made, honestly. The back is PU coated plastic and therefore gets kind of sweaty rather quickly.

    The whip is also PU coated plastic with the glittery velvety spots. The loop is quite small, at about 2 1/2", and isn't big enough to fit a hand through. It does not seem like it can hold up to much of a beating so be gentle with it. Personally, I like something that I can dangle from my wrist but I generally don't spend too much time on that end of the whip so I can deal. There are two more rivets, one at either end, holding it together. It has 50 9 1/2" long tails, unless I have forgotten how to count. The handle is another 5 1/2" in length.

  • Performance:

    As I mentioned, the mask gets rather sweaty. And honestly, I would prefer something that I cannot see out of but it serves its purpose and could be fun for a costume party if I ever went as a stripper leopard.

    As for the whip, it isn't bad. I find it sort of difficult to find a vegan whip that I enjoy since the selection is much more limited and this one does a decent job when used right. It can deliver a decent sting. Honestly, I liked it a bit more than I thought I would. I had a bit of a hard time taking it too seriously at first and I did enjoy it.

  • Care and Maintenance:

    If you have nails or hooks the set can easily be hung up somewhere. However, if you want someone to come in and look at your totally badass, hardcore leather collection then having this glittery leopard print hanging in there may slightly change your image. Otherwise, just placing the set on a shelf or with the rest of your collection should suffice.

    The tails and the back of the mask can be carefully cleaned with a cloth and mild soapy water or toy cleaner. If you're keeping the mask on for prolonged periods of time I would definitely recommend at least occasional cleaning since it gets all gross back there. As for the handle and the front of the mask, given their glittery velvety textures I would recommend avoiding contact with water.

  • Packaging:

    This set came in a box and then the individual items came in plastic bags. The box indiscreetly features a nearly naked woman (strapless top with the letters covering it up) wearing the mask and holding the whip. There is little information about the toy on the box but, really, what is there to say? There are no instructions but there is some silica gel.
