The Tera Patrick Fleshlight's outer case is made of durable ABS plastic, which is firm but not brittle and can withstand being dropped. It has subtle ridges on the handle that help you keep your grip, even if there is lube on your fingers.
The inner sleeve is made of a proprietary synthetic material called Real Feel Superskin. Composed mainly of mineral oil and medical grade synthetic polymers, it contains no latex or phthalates, and is considered non-allergenic. The name is quite accurate, because the realism in its flexibility, appearance, and texture is amazing. The design of the Fleshlight is brilliant, with the outer case serving not only to aid in use of the toy but also to provide clean and safe storage for the vaginal sleeve. One of the greatest things about this toy is that you don't have to worry about having a towel positioned for when you finish. The plastic case, if used with the small end cap on, catches and contains the ejaculate for you.
The end cap spins very easily, so adjusting the suction in the middle of a session is a breeze. There is a quiet "whooshing" sound on the down stroke when you use it with this bottom cap on, but it's doubtful that anyone would hear it from outside of the room.

Care and Maintenance:
The Tera Patrick Fleshlight is compatible with water-based lubes ONLY. Any other type of lube can damage the Superskin.
It's best to separate the inner sleeve from the plastic case for cleaning. Be sure you remove the small end cap as well. The case and caps can be rinsed or wiped with a washcloth but, if you find that it's accumulating hand oils or lube residue, it is safe to wash it with soap and hot water. Be sure to rinse everything well before re-inserting the sleeve though, because soap residue could potentially damage the Superskin insert. This is also something to keep in mind if you use the toy in the bath tub or shower.
The insert is open at both ends, so to clean it you simply run water through it for a couple of minutes, preferably from each end. You can't use soap or toy cleaners, because this can also damage the material, but a sufficient amount of water does clean the toy well. Isopropyl alcohol can also be used if you prefer that extra peace of mind.
After you're finished, shake out any access water and allow it to dry. Placing a small fan near the opening or using a blow dryer on the "air only" setting will speed drying times, but as long as it's in a well-ventilated area it should do fine on its own.
It's very important to let both the sleeve and the case dry completely before reassembly to prevent mold from forming. If mold spots ever do develop, you can use alcohol to remove it.
The Fleshlight sleeve may become a bit tacky after a couple of washings, which is not harmful. If you prefer to keep the toy as smooth as possible though, simply powder it with a bit of corn starch (aka corn flour in the U.K.) after it's dry. This isn't a required step in the care and maintenance of the toy, but it helps it maintain that silky feel.
Store your Fleshlight by screwing both end caps on and placing it in an area where it won't be exposed to extreme temperatures (i.e.: don't put it next to your radiator). Loose sleeves or Fleshlights without the end caps on should be stored away from other sex toys to avoid possible interactions.

One very notable thing about Fleshlights in general is that once you have the case, all of their other available pleasure sleeves are compatible with it. When we first took the Fleshlight out of the box I was a bit stunned at how large it was, but once I stuck my fingers inside it to do a little exploring, I realized that the manufacturer really knew what they were doing.
