Material / Texture:

The sleeve is made from, what Doc Johnson calls, "UR3" which I believe denotes the 3rd generation of Doc Johnson's Ultra-Realistic line. It is soft to the touch, very elastic, yet firm enough to support its own weight without becoming misshapen.

Out of the box, the material is not tacky at all and has an odor that I can only describe as "rubberized vanilla". After washing thoroughly with soap the odor is still present and the material becomes slightly tacky. Enclosed instructions indicate talcum powder can be used to prevent this.

Shape / Design / Size / Fit:

This sleeve is on the short side (for a sleeve) at 4 inches and makes no pretense that the head of your dick will not pop out of the end while stroking. The opening on one end is larger than the other, which eases entry into the sleeve, and I actually enjoyed the feeling of exiting the smaller end which provided great sensation for my glans and frenulum. Also, if you turn the sleeve around and enter the smaller end there is a nice tight ring that slides up and down your shaft which I though felt a bit like anal sex.

The inside of the sleeve is covered with small bumps meant to create added sensation. Between the soft nature of the material and the stretch it endured to accommodate me, the texture was almost unnoticeable.

The outside of the sleeve has three prominent ridges which fit in the spaces between the four fingers of your hand, this makes for a solid grip even if you have managed to get some lube on your hands. And if you flip the sleeve inside out and fuck it that way the extra bumps really add to the experience. I actually prefer to use it this way.

Care and Maintenance:

The material is safe to use with water and silicone based lubes. Oddly, when I used silicone lubes the slipperiness seemed to diminish and I had to re-apply. Water-based lube "Sliquid Silk" worked best for me.

Cleanup is simple and easy with water and soap, the sleeve turns inside out to allow for thorough cleaning. Pat dry with a soft towel and sprinkle with a little talc if you want to avoid a tacky feel.

Packaging:

Simple enough... sleeve inside plastic bag inside cardboard box. There is also a silicone lube sample inside the box.

Experience:

I have used and enjoyed the sleeve several times and even reached for it recently for relief after testing a truly awful sleeve by another maker. I like that this sleeve is on the small side (not tight, just minimal) and offers variation of use. Some masturbation sleeves have a rigid plastic shell (like the Fleshlight) but the Toy Box's design allows me to control tightness with my grip.
