When I opened the box I noticed a slight smell. Not anything out of the ordinary, just the silicone-type smell that seems to accompany most toys. After washing it with toy cleaner, the smell was gone. Both parts (the "probe" and the harness) are made of premium "medical grade" silicone. The material feels luxurious and smooth with just a little bit of "grip". It is not slimy at all like some silicone toys tend to feel. The harness feels a little more slick than the probe. Since it does grip a little against your skin, I would recommend making sure your pubic hair is either short, shaved, or waxed before trying out the harness as I would imagine it would pull a bit.
The harness itself is fairly thin, measuring about 1/16th of an inch in width. Even so, it feels very substantial, and I have stretched it as hard as I could and it hasn't broken.
The toy is completely waterproof and would work great for water play or shower sessions. Both the harness and the probe are light purple and pretty smooth. It isn't particularly sexy looking, as the harness is pretty big, and its not lacy or decorated in any way.
The harness itself seems very sturdy, and I would imagine it would take a ton of stretching to break it. There is a hole in the front where you insert the probe. The hole measures 1 1/4 inches across, and fits the probe itself to a T. Unfortunately it does not fit any other dildo that I have. The probe has a flat base at the bottom that sits up against your pubic area when wearing the strap on. Most other toys do not have such a flat base to hold it in, so unless they come out with more toys you are stuck using the one it came with.
The probe itself has a circumference of 4 and 3/4 inches at the largest point and 4 and 1/4 inches at the smallest. It has some veins in a V pattern near the base of the top side of the probe and one long, thin groove that runs from the base, along its length across the tip, and back down the other side. The probe is slightly bendable but is one of the stiffer dildos I own.
The harness itself does not allow for vaginal or anal play when wearing it, you can slide the strap around a little, but it grips against your skin and I found it uncomfortable. There are no loops, hooks, rings or closures on the harness; it is one solid piece of slightly stretchy silicone.
This is the downside of this toy. The one that I got is a size 3. Unfortunately, it was too large, so it was hard to keep the harness up the whole time I was using it. A size 3 fits a 37" to 45" waist, mine is 33 inches, and while the grippy-ness of the harness helped a little I was holding the straps most of the time to keep it up. I would imagine a "size 2" would have been the right size. The "G-string" part of the harness was uncomfortably wide for me, 3 inches across at the top, and 1 and a half at the thinnest. I am hoping that it did not sit right on me, I am assuming that if I had the right size it would have fit lower. As it was the probe was halfway between my pubic mound and belly button! Not exactly the right spot for thrusting! If I would have had the correct size I would imagine that things would have worked out much better for me.
Though the harness did not fit well, my husband sure seemed to enjoy the thrusting with the probe, and when I tried the probe alone later it felt pretty great just as a dildo. It is sleek and fits the body well.
The harness holds the probe in well, but it did not hold the probe close to my body at all. Again, I am assuming this is because it was the wrong size. I ended up using one hand to hold the probe and one hand to hold the strap up!
We tried it in a variety of positions, but it was hard to keep the probe where it should be in any of them.
As for wearing it under clothes...it gripped everything, even the sheets, so clothes did not seem plausible, aside from that, to put pants on while trying to hold the thing up would be insanely hard!
In this area the Couture Collection probe and harness are unmatched. You can disinfect them BOTH. I love that both parts are silicone and can be sterilized or cleaned with toy cleaner. Whoever came up with that idea is a genius!
Thus far, I have continued to store the harness and probe in the box they came in, but most likely they'll be moved to a toy bag later. Though both toys are silicone, they came wrapped around each other, and no melting has occurred on either piece, so storing them together is just fine.
There were no directions in the package, but the harness and probe are self-explanatory. The probe goes through the hole in the harness, and the harness goes on you. The box is just your run of the mill toy box, nothing special, no real storage capabilities for the longterm. Though the design on the box is a bit more appealing than I have seen with other toys. It simply shows the toy and has a raised water design on it. It's kind of pretty. The box is cardboard, so if you don't care who sees what you have, you could put it in your recycling bin.
My husband and I sometimes partake in gender play, and this was great fun for that. The toy felt great for both of us, and for sure the probe will be sticking around. The harness however....maybe not. I would have loved it and it might have become one of our staple items if the harness had fit.
The feel of the probe thrusting in and out of the vagina is amazing, it feels like no other toy we have...and we have a fairly extensive collection. According to my husband, it is just as great in the ass.
