Does the inclusion of safe sex measures in porn affect your viewing?

I agree.

I do notice, and it seems like condoms are rare. I like it when I see them though. I like seeing gloves too, but it depends on what kind of porn you watch - some is more likely to include that stuff than others.

I voted that I didn't care because I don't watch or look at porn in any way. But, I think they should be using protection because I'm sure the people in porn don't only have sex with other actors/actresses. They will be spreading that junk to other people too. That's really just another reason for porn being harmful in my eyes. I guess if they're choosing to do those things, whatever. It's their own fault for not using protection because being in the sex industry, they know fully well what the consequences can be i.e. STD'S, etc. So if they choose to not be protected, fine. But they should at least make sure they do everything in their power to protect those they have sex with who are outside the industry.

I don't really watch much porn at all, but I think I would prefer to see safe sex practices.

I wouldn't say seeing them is a turn on, but not seeing them is a definite turn off - I just start worrying and shouting "safe sex! OH NO!" in my head.

It neither turns me on or off, but I like the promotion of safe sex. Especially when you take into account that, if a recent poll by government officials is to be believed, a lot of kids learn their sexual practices from watching porn.

Gloves and condoms usually do not turn me on, however, I am comforted when I see the sex performers practicing safe sex. I certainly have a thing for barebacking, facials, and creampies, but all those things can potentially tempt others, especially the less experienced people, to be irresponsible.

Safety first! It doesn't turn me on, but I like the fact that it is there.

So...according to some blogs of people who work in porn (I'll post links if I find them again) the Condom Rule was about making porn more difficult to produce. Performers already get regular testing and stuff, and one of the concerns was that it's hard to have sex for a living, all day like performers on a porn shoot would, with condoms because of chafing and such. (I *don't* think this is an excuse for regular people having regular sex not to use condoms. It's that people on porn sets don't have the same kind of sex as regular people.)

Condoms are good! But regulations of the sex industry aren't so much always totally honest.

I wouldn't care either way about whether there were condoms in porn I watched, and I think a lot of alternate safer-sex practices can overlap with fetishes in helpful ways (I know there are some glove fetishists out there..)

Representations of safer sex practices are good, not just in porn, but in any sexy-type media (mainstream movies could use more of this, too). Fantasy doesn't have to be totally separate from reality; it's cool when some versions of reality are sexy too.

I would not care if they were in every porn. I think it should be up to the actors and actresses if they use protection, but personally I think it is a good idea for them to use protection. It would show a good example to everyone. Even in regular movies where someone is about to be getting on adding in the comment "Did you happen to bring the condom's?" would be a good idea. I think it sends a good message to viewers who should be using condoms. There should be porn that doesn't use condoms to, but I rarely see any protection used in any of the porn I see. I am always surprised when I do.

I like to see safe sex measures included, but it's not particularly a turn on.

I prefer my porn with condoms, because I can't stay in the fantasy if I start wondering about diseases and germs. Especially when anal is involved.

I guess it really depends on the mood I am in and what kind of porn I am watching. If it's something that's supposed to be kind of dirty and hardcore then no condoms.

I don't think it makes a big enough difference to justify not using one.
