There are many companies that are churning out porn these days, which is your favorite?

I just today watched a girlfriend's films film, and it was really really good. I was definitely a bit surprised. After watching a small thing about how their company came to be and why they do what they do, I can definitely say they are at the top of my list!

I like Vivid for a number of reasons.

They have a couple of my favorite stars: Evan Stone and Steven St. Croix for the guys and Riley Steele for fem's. Jesse Jane was an interview here a while ago too.

It varies for me, but Zero Tolerance and Digital Playground are 2 consistent faves. (and the bonus is that I genuinely like the people who own/run those companies).

We like Vivid and some older "Vintage" stuff from (cringe) Adam & Eve Video. We have collections of porn (on DVD) from the early days of the movie camera to modern day. We also have some older Caballero vids, from the 70s and 80s, and My Man has some stuff from Europe on VHS. I don't know the studios, though. Both Nina Hartley and John Holmes used to work for Caballero. I don't think they ever worked together though. I think Nina was just getting into the business around the time John Holmes got arrested and then found out he was HIV positive.

Did you know that some of the first things committed to film was people fucking? Yeah, it's that interesting. The first "movie" ever showed in movie houses (which were then play houses or Vaudeville Stages) was a movie, by Thomas Edison Films called "The Kiss." It was a LONG kiss and people wanted it banned. The entire movie was just a man and a woman kissing rather passionately.

Vaguely. My Man and I, when we were dating, used to go to those trashy hotels that you rented by the 4 hour space. They had videos running "free" on their crappy TVs. I am sure I remember some TTV films back then.

I like Private, too. But there is a French producer by the name of Marc Dorcel that also produces classy, artistic porn.

(Edit: I just found out through his Wikipedia page that Wicked and Private apparently distribute his movies )
