So, how do you store your porn? If you have dvds, do you keep them in the cases or remove them and put them in some kind of album? Do you keep a list of what you have for easy viewing?

My husband does reviews for another site, and I'd say we're topping 1500 now. I really need to organize, & get rid of the ones I don't want! I'm quite a pack rat
The zip up cases look like they'd be good. I'm not opposed to having several of them, that would (someday) be organized by genre.
What do you all do with the covers - keep them with the discs or toss them?

I don't personally do this, but I have heard of people cutting the covers to save the title and slipping it into the sleeve with the disk.
Sorting by genre sounds like a pretty good idea.

We keep them on spools - the ones that blank DVDs come on. It was my husband's idea, so I give him full credit. Some of the spools hold 200 discs, so the footprint is really small. We toss porn cases and booklets - it's not like we're going to read the booklets or sell the discs, so it doesn't matter.
Anyway, the next time you buy blank discs, if you save your spool and spool cover you get instant discreet disc storage

My mother is really nosey, though, so I lock up anything sexual. I recently bought a Vaultz case at Walmart for around $12; mine holds up to 24 discs, although they make much larger versions.

I actually have zero (0) Porn dvds as the internet is my friend, this makes me a little useless at offering any advice. However when reading this thread I had a slight snicker at 2 imagined situations:
Situation one: Sammi trying to get rid of some of the excess porn asks a friend if they want some. The friends nervously agrees unsure of the unusual offer. Arrives at home and BAAM 1500 porn dvds.
Situation two: Going into Wal-mart and asking one of the workers if they think this certain dvd case could hold 1500 pornos arranged by genre.
Made me smile a little.

For all of my regular dvd'S, I get rid on the boxes and put the discs in those plastic case logic sleeves (two sided sleeves with a white mesh center that wont scratch the disc). I have many shelves of discs stored like this in alphabetical order. For the X-rated stuff I use the 100 count, blank cd-r/dvd-r spindles (or cake boxes they are sometimes called).

Some movies that I didn't like or care for I pass on to friends (close friends), or got sick of, I've sold to friends, and others are in a box awaiting a new home.

Wow, 1500 porn dvd's eh? Wow. I think my husband would die and go to heaven at the variety.
As for storage our TV stand has this almost hidden two shelves on the side for DVD's. It faces the side of our other DVD bookcase so unless you're actually looking for the shelves you can't see anything. I store the porn DVD's in their cases, I'm a fan of the cases. I suppose it's just because I love the way it makes me feel like I have a lot of DVDs when in reality I have five or six porns and about 25 regular DVDs.
I used to store the porn in with the regular DVDs on the DVD bookcase. I would just turn them around so the black openings faced forward.
