Erotica is generally used to describe human sensuality and sexuality with high-art aspirations. Erotica is intended to be works of art like literature, photography, film, and other forms of art.

Pornography is usually used to signify explicit sexual acts. Pornography is usually created with the pure intent of sexual arousal. Pornography usually consists of video and photos.

The definitions for these two terms came from the Fanny Hill website.

I like both really. They are both similar but separate art forms... like rock vs country for music. It just depends on my mood. I know for the videos and pics I am in I prefer the softcore look even though the same hardcore is going on - just not being filmed the same. Though I do like doing a good hardcore porn now and then lol.

I've read through some erotica and can appreciate erotic photography/imagery, but porn isn't my thing at all!

I like both too, just for different reasons. If I want something to put me in the mood, porn is more the way I'll go. But erotica I enjoy looking at any time! I enjoy it, but it doesn't usually get me hot and bothered.

I like erotic erotic art, photography, literature for the beauty in them. I like pornography for arousal only. So, I suppose I like them in the way they are defined.

I feel Erotica is more related to (warm up) subjects like: topless girl, sexy dancing, sexy body massage, soft kissing, etc, where no sexual intercourse or sexual organs (Penis & Vaginal) been showed up or described.

Where Pornography is more related to sex actions between two or more persons.

I tend to agree with those definitions, and I prefer erotica. However, trying to find a good erotic video online is difficult, and so I settle for a good porn to get off on.

I think I disagree that no overt sex acts/organs are shown. I think erotica is more sensual, more about love, beauty & art but I have seen/read great erotica with hardcore acts.

I definitely like both, but if I have to choose ... Erotica for sure.

I enjoy pornography more, but I do enjoy erotica from time to time as well. I like writing in general, and have on occasion produced some written erotica.

I like both of them, but typically I enjoy erotica much more than I do pornography. Although at times i do favor the other but it is based off of my mood at the time.

I've never liked porn. I don't know why, but it just seems boring after a while. I think I'm drawn to erotica more because it is aspiring for beauty more.
