I'm looking to buy my first ball gag. Should I get the one with holes? Is it really that dangerous to buy a solid one without breathing holes?

Breathable vs. non-breathable

I had the breathable ball gag, and I absolutely hated it.
Firstly, the ball on that gag is hard. There's NO give or squish to it at all. This made it very, very painful for me to wear after just a few minutes. Also, the holes seem to collect drool. Yes, you're going to drool no matter what if you have a gag in, but it was like excessive with the breathable ball gag -- far worse than any other gag I have ever tried.
The quality of the breathable ball gag really stinks, too, in my opinion. I'd take pictures, but I hated the thing so much that I ended up tossing it.
The removable silicone ball gag (size small) was a much better fit for me.

We have a gag without holes in it and don't have any issues breathing through our noses. Also the ball isn't large enough to cover either of our mouths completely, just enough to stifle the screams

I like the breathable one just because I can't breathe well thought my npse. If you don't have a problem with that, then you're probably better off getting a normal gag.

You are going to be breathing heavy most likely wither being flogged or fucked so this should be getting your breathing rate up, if you can't breath through your nose easily than this is a problem, bits also work and help deal with this problem as well.
