Nope, but I'm curious about them. I wouldn't want to partake in the events, as I'm not one to play publicly (unless it's something my lover is fine with), but I'd like to see...the sights, really. Mostly interested in the furniture involved, to be completely honest. It would be a bit like window shopping.

Yes! Window shopping!! I too am curious and would love to attend one, just to see what it was really like and get some new ideas for play. But... I live in a very rural area. It's really unlikely that I'm going to ever find one here. I'd have to travel quite a bit.

You'd be surprised. Consider Googling the name of your town or the name of a nearby town you'd be willing to travel to along with "munch". There are groups in lots of small towns. Although, events/conferences/fes tivals do tend to be held in larger places. I'll be travelling 10 hours for one later this week. Not because it is the closest I can get to but because it it my favorite event.

I got invited to cover the Party Erotique here in Atlanta this past winter. I'd never been to a fetish party and was dying to go! Got my leather pants and corset ready and my masquerade mask. Sure, we have been to one, maybe two or a hundred... Actually, We can still remember the first one. It was like a train wreck. Oh don't worry, it wasn't "Oh my god this is horrific!" It was simultaneously terrifying and spectacular. You know, that "hard to look away" watching with a mixture of fear and fascination. It was like peeking out at a scary movie through almost closed fingers.

As we went to the classes, checked out the vendors and the huge playspace; we were like almost too young schoolkids dropped off at 6 flags by our parents. We would experience something, check out a class, and then scamper off whispering heatedly to each other.

It was certainly eye opening, and as we write this years later, we can still remember many of the treats of that weekend.

I go to play parties every weekend here in Philadelphia. I also attend munches and happy hours in the city.

Every six months, I attend large conventions in Columbus, OH (where I went to school for the last four years). They're called Winter Wickedness and the Central Ohio Perversion Excursion Once I get to know the Eastern PA area a little better, I'll start going to other convention type events in and around Philly.
