Nah, never been. It sounds fun in theory, but the couples that my boyfriend and I have met who have been into BDSM are...well...they're sleazy. Period. I kind of don't want to be around them for extended periods of time. I know that there are lots of people into the lifestyle that are awesome (and a lot are here on EF) but going to an event/munch just doesn't appeal to us.

I've gone to sex education workshops that focus on it, but never a club. Heard there's some good ones in SF, but I'm not quite sure what a "good" BDSM club in the city entails exactly.. besides old dudes beating off on your chest while you're tied up, because ASWEALLKNOW, that just comes with the territory.

I've been to a lot of educational BDSM activities - some of the programs put on by EduKink in SF are my favourite, as well as Society of Janus events that I've been to. I haven't been to a play party yet, but I plan to attend one at the Citadel before I move out of the Bay Area.

I went to a fetlife munch without knowing it, a room mate at a convention took me along, but I didn't know anyone, so I just sat there. I'd love to get into a local group and start to make friends. My SO is very vanilla, but I'm working on it with him and I feel like groups would show him more of what I want.

I've been to only one, Folsom Street Fair in SF. Both my boyfriend and I highly enjoyed it. I wish they were held more often!

I would go, but I've never been. I live in a very conservative town 10+ months out of the year. I don't even know who'd be into it in my town. :/ I don't know if I'd want to go to one by myself. I think I have one friend who'd go because she's also into BDSM

Synthetik and I are actually planning on going to one in April.

You see, there was this BDSM event called Purgatory in Charlotte, about a 5hour drive from where we live, and when we started dating, we told ourselves that we would go to it someday.

Well, that year, they had their "Ragnarök" event and that was going to be their last one Synthetik and I proceeded to "has a sad"

Then, I checked on the Single Cell Productions website, hoping to see if the "Purgatory: The Making Of" Documentary had been made, when I saw that there was going to be a Purgatory Reunion coming up in April So, he and I are definitely counting on going to it

It's not all about the pain. There are plenty of people who enjoy sensual play and do that on the regular basis. Lots of sensuous massages, waxings, and other things happen outside of beatings. It's quite relaxing, actually

You don't have to be hardcore to go to a party. That's just based off of my experience.
