My Sir did a play piercing corset (10 20g needles down my back) on me last night, and it was amazing...I was flying from the endorphins for a solid two hours, and it looked gorgeous.

So, ever done play piercings? Or wanted to?

I think that they're beautiful, though, when done properly and appropriately cared for.

*grin* a bit scary, yeah. But Sir and I both have medical training, so I trust him to know the anatomical landmarks to avoid, and he was very careful about cleaning the punctures afterwards.

I think they're gorgeous but I'm not into play piercings, simply because I like to keep mine, so I have them done by a professional in a shop. I do love the rush from them though My sternum piercing was the best 'high' I've ever had.

I LOVE play piercings! Being turned into human art AND I get an endorphin rush, yes please. I love the versatility of needle play. It can be done to be artistic or sadistic... or sadistically artistic... sorry couldn't resist.

Ahh, none of the above?

I like the idea of such piercings. I think it could feel amazing. I've seen lovely work, too.

But like ~LaUr3n~, I find possible scarring not worth it. I don't heal very well at all and I like to keep my skin without markings for some photos I do.

thanks for all the responses, guys!

As for comments about scarring, we've used a very small gauge (20, and are looking at getting 22s for future play), that they didn't leave any marks once the initial healing period was up.

Not for me, but I have enough piercings that I can appreciate the kinds of things you can do with temporary ones. I would be wary of letting anyone do it to me if they weren't a trained professional, even if they're in the medical field.

Physically, it's no worse than any other IV or injection, provided you know anatomy. Which both my Sir and I do. I don't see how psychological issues come into it, as it was done consensually and that I already know I love the feeling of piercings.

Actually, they can! You need to use things like surface piercing bars to make them permanent though.

I had 8 piercings on my genitals, and at some point they got in the way, as for play piercing, i think i would pass out after enough "play"

None of the above. I tried needles and I thought "that's it? What the hell was all the hype about?" I know people in the lifestyle who do gaga over needles, and blood play. I always thought it would be this grand experience and I was like huh, that's it? Oh well.

I've never had it done, and I'm not one that really likes to get peirced, but I think they are beautiful and would like to have it done for a few hours for some photos.

If my guy was a trained piercer, I would be ok with it. But I'd be worried about most piercings that weren't done by a professional; there are too many nerves, veins, arteries, etc. that could be seriously damaged. Thankfully my guy does not like piercings, tattoos, etc, so I don't have to go up to him and be like "look, as much as I trust you with other stuff, I am NOT going to let you point a needle at me".
