Psych Paper BDSM help

Contributor: Princess-Kayla ♥ Princess-Kayla ♥
I'm writing my psych paper about BDSM, and things like common misconceptions about it, how the media portrays it, and how people react when they find out you're into it.
So if anyone could post some personal experiences, or examples, that would be great.
I also need to interview at least one person, so if you'd like to be interviewed, it'd be wonderful if you could send me a message or something. Thanks!

What kind of examples? Like, say, when we first got into it? Our experimentations? Because I've had a few false starts, before diving in the deep end, myself.

I have a good bit to say on how the media portrays BDSM, everything they show is negative. In the news, you only hear about the so-called "master" who's "slave" escaped after their contract went south when it turned out the guy she/he met online wasn't into BDSM at all, they were just an abusive nutjob looking for an excuse. On TV shows, you never see the loving, gentle relationships or the real people behind the shiny patent leather. And you sure never see the negotiations. Not to mention that the patent leather and the attitudes are all ramped up on steroids, not everyone into BDSM dresses or acts like that, but there seems to be one "Stock-Dom(me)" in all of TV with the "Dom(me)-tude" perpetually on. Only once, on Supernatural, in a portion of an episode intended as a joke, have I seen a character into BDSM drop the "Dom-tude" to act like a normal guy and ask about safewords.

Errant Venture: By examples, I mean how people react when they find out you're into it. Like I had a "friend" that saw a bite mark on my neck, and started telling everyone I was abused.

AndtoAngel: I agree 100%. I hate how in shows like CSI it always shows the "freak" that's into BDSM, and somehow it always causes their death or something like that.
