For some reason, I'm thinking the pink one looks awesome -- the Fetish Fantasy series one. I don't know why I'm leaning towards that one though. LOL. Maybe the awesome color? It did have some fraying, but it's still it excellent condition and works really well. I especially loved the length. It gives you a lot of possibilites. I do not know how long the FF series one it.. the same?

Either way, I think they'd both be fabulous. A lot of people said they didn't love the Japanese rope because they were able to get out of it. I am not able to get out of it when my partner ties me. I am quite fond of it! I do wish it was a brighter pink though.

Yeah, silicone is a great material for a lot of things, but I think rope is probably NOT one of them. Ouch!

Other: hemp. It is a natural fiber, after you condition it is rough but not abrasive on skin, smells special, holds in ties without having to add additional knots, is thinner in diameter (usually 4-8mm) which allows more intricate and aesthetic rope work, can be bought much less expensively than the commercially created "Japanese bondage rope."

I've heard other people sing the praises of hemp rope.

If you don't mind my asking - where do you recommend getting hemp rope? Any special kind (keywords) we should get?

Thought I'd just chime in for a quick second: Both Twisted Monk and Maui Kink have beautiful hemp in a variety of diameters, usually 6-8mm is easiest to tie with, but both companies will help you figure out what lengths or diameters will suit your needs.

I'm gonna have to second Thumper Logic on this one. Don't buy rope on EF, it's pretty crappy. mauikink.com has probably the best rope you'll find. Their shipping is a little hefty, but you can balance that out by ordering from the surplus section.

Yes, twisted monk is a good source. Also ask around in your local kink/bdsm community to find a local source. Hemp is strong, holds well naturally and adds to the sensation with its texture.

I wouldn't buy my rope off a site like this. I use Rainbowrope.com, they have good prices and different types of rope there (in multitudes of colors).
