Just not that many bdsm members active now.

Maybe they are all tied up.

Or gagged

I don't believe in having safe words in my relationship honestly. Since I am very against rape play, there's no reason I need a special word to tell him to stop or slow down if I want things to change. I also believe he should keep an eye on how I'm doing, try to judge my emotional and physical reactions, and understand my needs as well as I do. I think he does well actually.

We don't use safe words. We are very heavy edge players and also have a very particular dynamic.

No, I thought that one was my best of the month. Do I need to include some gags ? Or pics of tied up subs ?

We have a single safe word that we hardly ever use in normal conversation. We like to push our limits and when we need the other to absolutely stop, safe word comes into play. Only ever had to actually use it once in the last 8 years.

Push harder? Lol. That is a really good track record. I once had a partner who had so many limits we stopped every few minutes to "discuss" what was going to happen next.

That would actually get frustrating/annoying and make it difficult to complete a scene.

As a sexual Submissive & someone who LOVES BDSM I have to say the universal traffic light safe words work best. Nobody can forget what word is what, it's very obvious. Also if you are gagged or in a position you can't speak you should have a bell or squeaker to use as a safe word!!

We have the standard Red, Yellow, Green. I have yet to use them, but Im thankful we have established them for both of our safety!

I've noticed a change in my play and have moved to using unique words that don't fall into standard conversation now.

My Mistress and I rarely resort to using safewords, although we do have a few from the past that are random, almost non-nonsensical words, meant to clearly signal to pause and find out what's going on. Whenever I'm gagged, I am allowed to use a non-verbal "safeword" such as snapping my fingers back-to-back-to-back in order to stop.

That being said, as a slave, I do my absolute best to avoid having to resort to using these, although it does give one some peace of mind knowing that it's always there.

In scenes and playspaces, red/yellow/green is nice to get accustomed to for standard practice. I also think hand signals / drop signals are VERY important to have along with safewords, not instead of them. During play, bottoms/subs can be overwhelmed and need to stop, but be too mentally fried to speak - even if they are not gagged or otherwise silenced. Having hand signals or drop signals gives them multiple avenues to communicate. Communication is important!

For those interested, a drop signal is when the person holds an object like a bell, or some solid object that clatters and clangs when dropped - that way if they need to signal that something is awry, they can just let go and the top/Dom will touch base with them and make sure everything is alright.

Standart - red means "no", and if gaged - shake your head.
