I always thought this was really neat, and great for meditation.

I know a lot of people like sensory deprivation sexually, but I don't even know where I would start with that.

I know for a lot of people "sensory deprivation" means the aid of a blindfold, tied up and such, not being able to tell what your partner will do next.

In my reading, it's a little more than that.

How much have you all gotten into sense dep?

I haven't gotten any further then the typical stuff you listed. I would really love to go into it deeper, though.

I haven't gotten into it that much on the receiving end. I do like a blindfold sometimes, and being restrained, but that's about it. I have a play partner that's much more into it, and we've tried hoods on him, which he enjoyed. He's also very much into mummification, and will stay totally wrapped for hours! I can't say it's much more than a mild interest for me though - I like that he's enjoying himself, but it's kind of like he's shutting me out when he's covered head to toe and unable to interact.

I don't think that it's shutting you out. I think it might be easier to imagine it as you having his body as your canvas for you love. That's how I view rope art anyway, which is similar to the point that you can get to the point of no mobility at all. In a way, he's not shutting you out because he is giving you his ultimate trust with his body.

Last Saturday I was the bottom in a sensory deprivation scene. I was wrapped in saran wrap, blindfolded, and had earplugs. It was so much fun. They placed me onto a vintage autopsy table in what we call the "Dexter" room.

just the basics for my blindfolds. earplugs so they couldnt hear either is my next step and then work from there

Sensory play is one of my absolute favorite things to play around with when I am topping. It affords the opportunity to be so creative!
