Sex Fact: How to Escape Rope Bondage

Jay Wiseman talks about different ways to escape rope bondage in his book. If you ever find yourself wanting to be a playful rope bottom (or in a bet over who chooses dinner if you can escape your consensual bondage!), these tips may help:

Clenching the fists: Clenching your firsts puts the tendons in the wrist under tension which makes your wrist slightly larger. When unclenched, it will create a slight amount of slack.

Waiting for the ropes to stretch: All non-metal materials used for bondage will stretch at least a little bit. Over time, if the material is under pressure, it will develop a little bit of looseness.

Get sweaty: When your body is sweaty, the more slippery rope will become. Use your body's warmth to your advantage!

"Work" the rope: Any rope where there is a slight bit of give can be "worked" by moving around in it to create slack or making the ropes move to a more advantageous place so you can escape.

We are just starting to do some experimenting with rope play.

Slipping ropes can be fun, but our house rules is that whoever slips it has to tidy up. After wriggling out of a harness and then having to painstakingly unknot and coil 50ft of rope, I think it through more. It's a lot more annoying to undo when it isn't on someone.

I've only used rope a couple times. I'm not a huge fan of it, really It's a little too time consuming for me, I prefer cuffs and chains

Not really into bondage, but when I was little, I used to be interested in escape artists, so I already knew these tips!

I haven't done any rope play yet, but I'm looking forward to trying it out soon. I'm not really a sneaky submissive who tries to escape, more the kind who does what they're told. I'm not interested in escaping. Not when I get rewarded so nicely for staying.

We use rope a lot. We've even tried some shibari and breast bondage. Both of us are fairly skilled in rope bondage he more so than I. But it is enjoyable and you have to make sure you have the right kind of rope. Practice makes perfect.

Just have to remember to exercise caution and ask the bound on how they feel. Tingling or coldness of limbs is not really a good thing.

I love rope bondage. In fact, we keep some rope tied to the headboard for easy access and quick tying. I do enjoy escaping, too. When I sub, I'm not always very well-behaved

n_n With a past partner of mine, we loved throwing in some rope bondage. One of the fun parts of it was testing his skills, and trying to wriggle out of restraints. n_n That way, he could up his game and figure out how to tie the rope so I was less likely to free myself.

I usually can't escape. He notices things like clenching my fist and if I purposely escape I have to pay the price...not as fun as you might think. =+/ orgasm denial, a spanking that isn't pleasant, etc...
