I don't get turned on by the pain itself. What turns me on is having him be in control of the situation which may or may not involve pain. If it's too much pain it's a turn off for me and I make sure to let him know otherwise it ends up being an unhealthy situation.

It depends. I think the pain usually is a turn on, but some kinds of inflicted pain are more of a turn on than others.

Scale of one to ten - one being a tap and ten being damage and lingering hurt - I prefer a four. Couple of smacks, hair-pulling, pinching, squeezing ... just enough to leave marks (which my pale skin gets easily) but not enough to shut down arousal like a frozen pipe.

I'm much more into the "being controlled" aspect of submission than the pain factor. It sometimes works for me (just a bit of pain though, nothing too much - a spanking or paddling is about all I can take) but mostly pain just jars me out of my subspace unless I'm in really deep.
