My first bdsm toy was bed restraints. Then we added cuffs, various spanking toys, clamps and candles. Now we typically only use the spanking toys though.

My first BDSM toy was a cheap set (though, I still have it). It was a set of fake leather wrist restraints that were attached by chain to a matching collar.
It's not sturdy enough to stand up to the rougher kind of play that we're into now, but it's still fun to use on occasion.
