Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. A hogtie is fun to play anally. As a male I cannot really have penetration on my front though. Standing is fun for tasks though, like being made to walk, or accomplish some task. I think the position has to fit what you are trying to do.

I"m more comfortable on my back (plus I prefer being able to see what's coming)...but I don't like my stomach touched (too sensitive), so I'd actually probably be more comfortable on my stomach (though not really cuz large breasts hurt to lie on and they prop my torso up and cause the bottom portion of my ribs to press uncomfortably into the bed). Y'know, I just probably wouldn't be tied up to begin with...I prefer being the one doing the tying/toying.
