While at Thunder, I took a class on the $10 dungeon...and people had brilliant ideas, from clothespins as clamps (traditional) to rubber banding chopsticks around the nipples (with ice cubes in between, so they tightened as the ice melted). We talked about making ice sounds using fast food straws, using vet wrap and saran wrap, etc.

What tricks do you use in your "$10 dungeon?"

While this isn't as exciting as your recommendation, because of the line of work I'm in, I get a lot of free simple dog leashes (simple handle, leash, o ring at the end_. I use the handle end, loop the leash through it, attach it to the bed post, and then use the o ring and some zip ties to connect that to whatever restraints we're using. Works great, easy to put away when done.

The dollar store is a great source for everything from wooden spoons to leashes. Our $1 leash has actually lasted longer than the $30 collar. =p

Have you seen those clothes hangers with the metal "teeth" on them? We tried it in the heat of passion, and I have to admit, I screamed bloody murder the first time...but it has become tolerable to the point of enjoyable since then. We use just about anything cheap we can find, since we're on a budget. Peppermint oil for a nice cooling "burn", blind rods right off the windows (in place of canes), we've even used paper clips on my clit! It provided just the right amount of pressure to keep me horny all day. I recently found a triple set of metal bracelets with a small ring around them at a local store, for $2. I can put my wrists through two of the rings, and they substitute quite well as "cuffs".

Boxing wraps (from a sports shop) are fantastic for looping around bedposts and body parts, if you don't feel like getting out the rope - or are just starting out.

Also, the best spreader bar I've ever seen (and had the pleasure of being spread by) was actually the metal expansion pipe from an old-style vacuum cleaner. Hooray for recycling!

-Snake bit kit (great on the nipples and clit)
-candles
-hair brushes
-plastic wraps
-kitchen utensils (spatula, knives, etc)

There are more but I'm drawing a blank on the test, I guess it's time to check my toy bag.

I second clothespins!

i have a friend who cuts little bits of sandpaper and glues them inside the clothespins - nice and ouchy on your nipples

also dollar stores have remarkable versatile items on the shelves - things that can be given a second lease on life - long wavy drink stirrers and all sorts of items that can be used to slap and sting ass cheeks - a fun way to spend an hour in the store and even more fun when you get home!

my paddle hairbrush has been used many times for things other than brushing my hair and the kitchen drawer has been raided many times with wonderful results

Master has an extensive collection of paintbrushes from the tiniest ones with just a few bristles through to larger ones - which He uses to great effect in torturing me

oh i forgot the zip line - Master puts a row of clothespins on my body wherever He desires with a piece of thin rope under them - then one yank and the pins spring off with a nip

Plastic wrap covered with duct-tape--great for sensory deprivation! Also a plastic drop cloth and bottle of regular baby oil--great for slippery, sliding fun and broken bones!

Mmmm Zip lines can't forget about those.

My friend just picked up something to remove paint, which can be used for sensory play. Couldn't find a photo, sorry.

Bed Frame Restraint System
We got soft cotton rope from the dollar store here ($4 to $5 dollars - but you may need two rolls depending on the size of your bed) and zip ties($1 for 50 and that is way more then enough). Then I cut the rope into 6 foot sections, finished the ends, and used the sip ties to attach it to our bed frame. We used three across the top - one in the middle to attach to collars, and one on either side for wrists. Then on each side there is a wrist tie at the top and an ankle tie at the bottom. Then on the bottom we put three more. Two ankle ties and another collar tie for inverted fun. This makes a great bed tie down system which I honestly like better then the commercial one I had. It attaches to the bed frame which makes for rock solid stability. It can be used with cuffs or alone. (When we use it without cuffs we use protectors underneath the rope which I made by cutting off the top of extra thick tube socks. No one likes rope burn around the wrists, it looks suspicious for work. lol) The only thing is if you want to really restrict mobility you have to have two ties for each appendage. For example on a wrist you have one that comes down from the top of the bed and one from the side. We love it and it was cheap. Feel free to contact me if you need better instructions. We basically got a $100 toy for about $15, and honestly it is better then the one we bought a while back.

I'm a college dorm room, and DAMN, those things are full of great psuedo-kinky stuff! Like these poorly-positioned towel rods. Poorly positioned for towels, that is--perfect positioning if my SO wants to tie me up near a window, so my exhibitionism can come out to play! =D

Not so much for a dungeon, but...when my brother and I were out looking for hunting stuff to buy for our cousin's birthday present, I bought a tacklebox to act as a sex toy holder. It's worked for a couple of toys, but I'll be getting quite a few over the next year, and by the time my two orders come in, I'll be out of room. =X

- Cooling aloe works great for a cool tingly sensation that turns to a warming sensation as time goes on.
- Empty shampoo bottles can be cleaned out and filled with warm or cool water for a really interesting dildo. If you get one with a large enough neck you can fill it with sand and a bullet vibe for a really unique sensation. Just go to a dollar store and browse for the perfect size.
- Candles are great for hot wax and ambiance.
- Bike hooks are great for suspension bondage if you find a stud and predrill a hole. We found one rated for 350 lbs.
- Those sleep masks the give you on airplanes can be modified a bit to make great blindfolds.

What toys did you order? If you don't mind me asking?? I know review time can take awhile (I have 11 waiting. Lazy, I know), and am always looking for items that I haven't at least read about.

From Edensfantasy, I got a Tera Patrick traditional vibe (I hate it when products don't have reviews, since some people only want one or two toys, and if it isn't reviewed, they might not go near it or might get the wrong product), and I decided to buy a bullet and a turbo glider as gifts for two of my lady friends.

From TooTimid.com, I got the free erotic wave vibrator (can't pass up a free vibe) and a butterfly kiss, which I would've bought here, but I kinda felt guilty JUST getting the free vibrator from TT.

I try to review after having a product for a week, unless it illicits a very very VERY strong response from me. That way, I get to experience its power, its stability, its ups-and-downs, and so forth. I review all kinds of things besides sex toys; I'm never lazy about it because I'm such an opinionated bitch. =P

Within the next month, I plan on getting my own Gigi (since a former lover was so selfish with hers, LOL!), some kind of bondage equipment (mine is typical college student fair, as perviously mentioned, so I want to see how official gear stacks up to homemade goods), and a few other necessary bits and pieces, like an actual rabbit.

Within the next year, I want at LEAST one new dual action and/or rabbit, a Sasi, a few G-Spot vibrators, a bullet to replace my now-deceased one, a silicone lube (I've only used water for the past year), and a decent glass dildo, among many many many other things. Suffice to say that I am a sex toy addict and am actually working overtime to afford more toys!

I'm actually keeping a tally to see what kinds and how many sex toys I acquire between 9/3/08 and 5/09. Yes, I am that much of a nerd.

...I typed "perviously" instead of "previously" by accident, but it sounds awesome, so I'm keeping it. XD

Awesome about the free vibe!! I think everyone owns the turbo glider but myself. & the much desired Sasi. I still haven't made my mind up, I'm just not quite sure it would do it for me.

I don't have the turbo glider either, though it is in my wish list

A flyswatter is pretty cheep and they make awesome spanking tools. If the pattern is large enough on them, they can leave very interesting marks on a bottom. They produce a nice sting, and a very satisfying sound, though the solid plastic ones tend to break easy. In fact I just broke one on my husband's ass a couple nights ago. lol No bruise though...I was a little disappointed. Guess it's time to go back to the dollar store

Tackle boxes are fantastic, tool boxes are event better. I've filled 2 and have a smaller organizer for condoms. Way cheaper than the alternatives offered on many sites.

Ginger is really useful, and is available at any grocery store. You can get pieces of all sorts of sizes, and cut them into whatever shape you are aiming for. Furthermore, it's exciting because you can smell it as soon as you cut into it, providing anyone who can't see the action a hint at what's coming next. Maybe you even want to just use the smell to tease?

I have gone through many a toolbox, looking for one with the right sizes. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), I think I have more sex toys than your average handy-man has tools!

I had a very creative friend that had many suggestions on cheap and creative toys which were mostly bondage related. I wish I could remember them all. One was a whip which he made himself. He had made some out of raw leather that he got a good deal on and decided that he could get the same effect with upholstery fabric that was designed to feel like leather. He cut the strips himself and made several nice whips with knotting the strips in the middle for the handle and adding an O ring for hanging and decoration. I thought this was a nifty alternative to a leather whip that you would pay a pretty penny for otherwise.

Ice is always an option and probably the cheapest sexual tool to use. By itself it's enjoyable or alternatively with candle wax it can be even more fun. Include a blindfold and restraints and you're geared up for a great bondage night.

This friend of mine also got silky fabric and cut it on the bias and made his own restraints. Being cut on the bias gave it a tiny bit of give when pulled against. This created not only a fun sensation, but helped keep wrists from being injured during play. For about 3 dollars in fabric and some sewing time, that's not bad. With enough fabric, I'm sure you could create a great under the bed restraint system as well.

I've used shoe and shower storage as sex toy storage and if bought from the dollar stores, they can be fairly cheap. Chain leashes and collars are a lot of fun for bondage use as well and can also be bought fairly cheap at some pet stores. If you're feeling really adventurous, you can always buy chains at a hardware store and make your own chain restraint system. Chains also made for great sensory play with the coldness initially hitting the body and slowly warming up. They can also be heated for another effect.

Also, cheap, fake pearls in the girl's jewelry sections. I got a lot of fun colors from places in the mall like Claire's. The feeling of the beads rolling over the body creates a unique sensation and they are easy to find and cheap! Also great for a masturbation tool if rolled up and down the clit.

I suppose I could add that he made his own paddles out of wooden cutting boards. I felt that they were too wide for my taste, but this might work for someone else. He made several. Some plain wood with drilled holes, some with pyramid spikes, some with leather. I guess it's a good base to be creative with and pretty cheap.

I Pervert a lot of stuff....and yo can quote me on that I am into play piercing SM play, and I particularly enjoy decorating the play piercings with stuff, so dollar stores are an absolute mecca for the little kinky martha stewart in me. That aside, I have made and adopted a number of cheap toys from dollar stores over the years - my local store is particularly good, too.

Sensation Stuff (pinch, tingle etc)
- chopsticks + hair elastics = excellent clamping toy
- Clothes Pins are a no brainier, but my local dollar store has at least 5 other types of clamps, so look around!
- Bamboos skewers for sensation play (poke, scratch)
- Dental floss + nipples = fun fun fun
- Listerine Breath Strips on clit of glans
- feather duster

Wacking Toys:
- Long pleastic shoehorn (cane-ish stingy toy)
- Souvenir wooden hocky sticks
- childrens ping pong paddles (careful, cheap wooden toys will splinter so they're not to be used for really heavy paddling)
- Spatulas, spoons of all sorts
- Hair brushes
- Bath brushes

Homemade Toys:
- Handle from small plunger + yellow electrical tape + 8 packages of yellow and brown bootlaces = nice beginner flogger
- Handle from small plunger + small decorative nails + cheap leather item from local consignment store (pants easiest, spend $5)= basic light leather flogger

Bondage Toys:
- Crazy Glue to close up labia - hawt
- Duct tape (careful if stickiness is on skin)
- saran wrap/pallat wrap
- Kids handcuffs
- dog leashes/collars/teathe rs

try and think outside of the box, you'll be surprised at what you find! Have fun!

Zip ties can make the perfect handcuffs. Just interlock the two circles, one hand in each, and tighten. The bigger ones don't loose grip.
