Sounds like fun, but there's somewhat of a price barrier to trying this. If it doesn't work out you're stuck with a potentially expensive harness. On the other hand, a cheap harness might ruin the fun. What's a starving student to do?

This harness is inexpensive and really quite good: link. I've used it for pegging and it held up quite well.

Prostate stimulation is an individual thing - some people just don't like it, others need a few times to get used to it (it is often an acquired taste), and some like it from the get-go. Since you have the toy, I'd encourage you to give it another try (make sure you're relaxed and try putting it in a bit differently).

Beyond that, there's more to pegging/anal than prostate stimulation. There's a lot of other nerves down there that can be stimulated by a toy, but prostate massagers don't always stimulate them.
