It doesn't sound sexy, but do some dry-run rehearsals. Put on your harness and dildo and see how it will all work out without doing penetration. Try out positions, etc.

Also let the woman practice! Having something "sticking out" can be very different, and she might not be used to the moves that she'll need to use. Wear your dildo for a while to get a feel for it and practice thrusting. This will also help you figure out how best to adjust your harness.
