For us it just hasn't come up in conversation with other people really. One or two of my friends might know, but for the most part, we figure it's really nobody's business but our own. Not that there's anything wrong with telling everybody, but for us we prefer to try and stay more private about things.

Private is good. No one needs to know. However, we did tell a friend. She was the one that encouraged it in the first place. She was happy for us.

Actually... No. You see my partner and I are pretty open when it comes to "sex talk" with our friends. But we have never gotten into specific detail. Also, I think I am a little more open than my partner. He probably would not appreciate me telling my girlfriends about what we do behind locked doors.

@AKAme-I guess another question would be, how would your partner feel about others knowing? Was that your decision or his, mutual? My roommate tells me about all the sex stuff she doesn't tell even her best friend, this included fiance anal play. Once she told him I knew, he freaked. It took him awhile to not be weird. Only a very, VERY few friends know. One, because he's someone I learned about electrostim play from at a talk; we started talking toys, and it just came up. The other... I think all of two friends who know, only know because to give them advice on where to start, I had to fess up to knowing a thing or two about the topic. They're both very dear friends whom I know would never, ever betray the trust I showed by telling them.

There are other friends I might feel comfortable talking about it to... if I didn't have to worry about them blabbing. I've been outed as a sex toy reviewer to a group of people I didn't know once before. I'm not letting that kind of thing happen again. (thank goodness, they were a very open, accepting, and discrete group of college students; they saw how uncomfortable I was, and let it just be a non-issue)

None of my boyfriend's friends know. They wouldn't get it, or would think he was gay, or decide that people needed to know... etc.

Probably two or three of my girl friends know that I peg and I enjoy it. One of them subsequently asked me for advice on a harness, dils and positions. I know some of my friends would think I am weird, if they knew.

We're lifestylers. (Swinging) Girls strapping one on with other girls is very common and erotic. It is a smaller subset of couples that peg. We also do erotic webcam shows.
