E-stim, Opinons/Thoughts? Is it painful?

Contributor: JustYourAverageGuy JustYourAverageGuy
Does anyone have an interest or experience with electro stimulation? EF's seems to have a few products relating ( Like This one)....

Is there much of a demand for these types of toys? What other toys are out there? Does it hurt?

Please share any info you may have!

I have been wanting the i-stim. I have the Sextreme Vibe. Not painful persay, but it is different, and certainly not for everyone.

I don't know so much about their use in sexual locations, but I've found that when you use it on stiff muscles it causes a sort of tingling sensation not unlike the less painful variations of your foot falling asleep. Personally, I find it extremely pleasurable, which is why the toy you mentioned is top on my wishlist at the moment.

Guys, the nexus istim is a very very very expensive tens unit. Hit up a pharmacy and explore the more reasonably priced alternatives out there. I keep suggesting Eden bring in the Zeus Electrosex line, wich features kits that are closer to the 100 mark, which is a lot more acessable than the istim. Anyways, experiment and enjoy - the sensations can go from light tingles to sharp bursts (that yes, I would call painful.....in a good way) and everything in between.

I have been interested in trying these out as well. It is a lot of money to gamble on something that you might not like once you get it. At least that has been my reason for not buying one.

Sigel has used a TENS unit for years and LOVES the experience. Our Dr. has learned to just shake his head at him by now but even he was laughing at the fact that when given a TENS unit to manage the pain of a knee surgery the first thing Sigel wanted to do with it was strap it to his cock...we did learn that these units don't carry enough "juice" to hurt you permanently as long as you are reasonably healthy. Be sure your unit has a shut off point and go slow. He says the orgasm it produces is the most intense he's ever felt...and he's done some freaky shit.

A couple of you have mentioned these units in relation to non-sexual use. Remember when they marketed these for body building? There was even a scene in that movie about Bruce Lee - Dragon, where he is trying them out. Do they really work like that?

If I remember correctly, those are EMS units, not TENS units. (EMS = electrical muscle stimulation, TENS = transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) The set-up often looks very similar, bit I think they work differently. I don't know all the details, though. I think a TENS unit won't work for that kind of thing, but I could be wrong.

Gotcha. So I should probably pick up one of each then!

I've seen some combination sets running around, that might save you some cash.

It won't work for body building as it only stimulates nerves. They are used to shortcircuit the pain response system. It causes the nerve to "fire" and that blocks it's ability to fire for a few hours providing relief from specific types of pain. It may or may not work for people. When used sexually it causes the prostate peripheral nerves to fire causing uncontrollable or just really intense orgasm. When used on the breasts it causes a sensation that is very similar to a baby suckling, pleasurable for some annoying to others. When it fires the nerves in the breasts it can cause a release of oxytonin which causes the uterus to mildly contract which is again pleasurable to some and painful to others. It can also help with menstrual cramps but evening out the muscle contractions and causing them to "soften".

We learned all this from our family doctor after Sigel read about how TENS units were being used. He said unless you have a heart condition the electrical stimilus won't be enough to interrupt heart rythm and then showed Sigel how to position the pads for maximum effectiveness and to prevent injury. I use it on my neck and upper back as well as nipples. When I was nursing it helped to stimulate milk production (I have low thyroid function which makes it very hard for me to establish and maintain a good milk supply) and ease the lochia cramps.

I would suggest, if you have a good relationship with your Dr. asking him about where to place the pads for best effect. If not then there are loads of sites that can help.

Those EMS things are nifty - they can make your shoulders shrug to a beat I want one.

There are actually a lot of toys that are used for the purpose of Estim play. You have your standard EMS and TENS units which use current flowing through pads and into the skin. This have a few things that you need to consider before using them in play situations. For instance, you don't usually want to put pads across the heart of through tissue ie. on the back and front of a person. These pads can also be used to conduct current between people which can create interested sensations on both sides of the completed pathway. There are also things like violet wands which use static electricity created by passing a current through a gas filled glass tube. These create a static shock that can range from very light to pretty intense based on the shape of the tube used.

Funny this just re-surfaced in the forum, because lately I've noticed my partner has been looking at E-stim porn and and props and guides online. He swears he's just curious and that he'd never want to do it, but I can see a twinkling of an emerging fetish there. I'm wondering if I'll be capable of participating...it seems so impossible, but then, at one time so did pegging...

I'm totally interested in the e stim kits. Going for the sextreme vibe first. I definitely think EF should carry some lower priced options though. It's no fun when you only have the one to choose from

I support your suggestion for EdenFantasys to bring out other brands of E-stim units. There are Zeus and Rimba brands. These brands are so requested because of their different kind of accessories that sold separately and its price.

I just waiting Edenfantasys to bring them to buy one, wish not to wait so long .

So, anyone here who wants one had an electric fence experience? How do these compare?

I've hit the electric fence a couple of times, and while it wasn't painful exactly I certainly wouldn't call it pleasurable. Definitely glad I've never peed on one.

I have a TENS unit. When I put the pads on my penis I usually put one on my pereneum and one near the head of my cock. The current is intense but not really painful. It is not, however, orgasmic.
