Have you talked with your partner about this? It may be easier to figure out where to start if you discuss this with your partner. Is he comfortable with this idea? Communication is super important, especially in BDSM.

I only own one book about BDSM, and it's pretty in-depth, but I'd suggest first to talk with your partner, and get a non-intimidating product to start with like the one I linked to above. Or, if you wanted to try it sooner, you could use things you have at home like a silky scarf for wrist restraint or a blind fold.
