I'm 100% not into BDSM but must say OTK has become a fantasy. My husband has only spanked me OTK once and it wasn't even during sex just us goofing around. But it alarmed me just how much I liked it. I love over-the-knee spankings. Simple, but they're always one of the best forms of punishment. I didn't start with this, as most of the BDSM that I started with was something too rough for a beginner, but they're nice and sweet. I wouldn't consider them "kinky," because I don't really use that term, but they are a form of BDSM.

OOPS! I guess I see BDSM as just pain and punishment. I'm not into role play and have had too much pain in my life to consider it a turn on. Same here, I've never been officially spanked OTK by my husband. But we do some mild BDSM with whips, floggers and my favorite, the crop. Also I do like receive or give a good smack on the ass sometimes right in the middle of making love.

I totally agree that pain and punishment alone isn't much of a turn on, but there's a lot more to BDSM than just that. Typically in BDSM, there's a period of anticipation, or of gentle warm up, before the action kicks in. And when it does, if the recipient is well prepared, it's not the same quality of pain, because in a state of sexual agitation the brain seems to process "pain" signals differently. That's likely why you enjoy the open handed slaps mixed in with the firm rump massaging! My partner likes to bite the end of my nose during sex (sounds a bit odd, I know, but what can I say? I suppose most kinky people wouldn't put OTK very high on their kink list, but some people definitely consider still consider it very 'edgy'.

As a Top, I must not say that I enjoy giving it very often. It can be very fun for the bottom, but some people tend to forget how much it hurts the top's hands. And quite quickly. It is considered kinky as compared to something vanilla. It may not be painful, or the best form of punishment, but it is not a "typical" form of sexual stimulation, either.
