The idea of the hood is a little bit scary for me because I'm kind of claustrophobic, but I think it might be something to work up to from various types of blindfolds. I definitely think hoods would be better for greater sensory deprivation.
Blindfolds, I like. Eye/partial-face masks are okay. Full hoods... no.
Mostly, I don't like the feeling on the top of my head. Weird reason, but there we are.
We have a spandex, open-mouthed hood, but you can still see through it when it is on, so we use a blindfold as well. We're looking for a suitable replacement for the hood.
I've only used a blind fold so far. I'm always SO tempted to peek! I'd love to try a hood. I think it could be a very powerful experience for me. I would want something like this because I don't like leather, and I would probably dislike having my mouth covered by fabric.
I haven't used a hood before but I'd love to try one, especially one of those really heavy leather sensory deprivation hoods...mmmm so tight and secure ^^
too bad EF is completely lacking in the hood department (I would only buy a hood here if it was very affordable and could fit even the gigantic-est of heads like my own which is above the normal 19" maximum most hoods have)
