I've been into CBT pretty well since I hit puberty, which is really odd... I remember being a kid and actually burning my junk on the heat register as a form of self gratification. It just sort of expanded from there.

I really have no idea what made me want to do it or to think it was a good idea to try it at the time, but I did it and it was definitely enjoyable because I haven't looked back.

As for safety concerns.. Don't get in over your head and remember that if you're playing with chemicals or "figging" that you can't safe word out. You're stuck dealing with the pain until it subsides.
