I cannot imagine, as an adult woman, wanting to be spanked (or whipped, or slapped, or spit on...etc), all of which appear to be, well, amazingly COMMON turn on's to other woman. Thankfully no guy has ever attempted to do this to me. A playful "spank" would be met with an equally playful "fist in the jaw", and since I have two....not one, but TWO Black Belts, I must assume my LOVE TAP would communicate clearly, my total lack of interest in being treated like a mis-behaving child. First off, there is a difference between slaps on the ass and a spanking. A spanking is hard and causes some pain. From time to time there may be slight bruising that last a few days. Several people have commented that they like spankings, but light taps, etc... this is a very good example of why you need to clarify with your SO what SHE means by it. I personally LOVE a real spanking. It turns us both on. It is not just the spanking though, but the dominance he has over me. I enjoy it, but it has nothing to do with degradation/abuse. I enjoy sensations on that part of my body. I enjoy giving them too. Giving me a sensation that I specifically ask for, because it feels good, is respectful.

There are plenty of things I don't "get," but other people are free to enjoy. Sometimes it's difficult to remember that this doesn't mean I have to like it. I don't. You don't. But I think it's important to see that consensual sexual activity goes hand-in-hand with respect, even if one partner is getting it kind of hard.

It really is a comfort level, and working your way up to it can be a challenge. It can help to do it ritualistically, since that puts a clear line between violence and discipline. I had issues with it first, but I've started to get over my worries about spanking my gf (which she has no complaints about)
