It's never bothered me. I prefer not to work on my birthday, but if I have to, I have to. I work erratic hours.

I always liked going to school on my birthday. In grade school you got to bring cupcakes and things. In High School I had Finals on my birthday. What are you going to do?

My Man's B Day in on Halloween. Sometimes he takes the day off, he did a lot when the kids were little so he could take them Trick or Treating. Once in a while, if I'm not working he takes my birthday off work, so we can go out to lunch and have a Nooner.

I mind only because my birthday is in the middle of summer the hottest month 8/20. Well lets just say it aint fun being busy all day when all you want to do is go out side, and enjoy the sun on the one day you get to celebrate yourself. If my birthday was more during say fall or winter it wouldn't bother me so bad but I guess its because my birthday happens to be when its beautiful outside it drives me crazy. Even if it rains in august its beautiful I have never seen an ugly August.

I know it's not anyone's fault, but I do get slightly annoyed. Usually I plan ahead and take off on the day so I can really just have a day to myself. This year it didn't happen that way, but still got a half day in.

It's not a national holiday so it comes with being in the real world. You can take it off if you choose but I have never worked anyplace that just let you have it off. I personally and many of my friends just wait until the weekend to go party anyway.

I get mad when I have to work my families b days, especially my two boys. My one child's b day is Dec 28th and I always end up working that day to be off for our new years holiday!

I always hated going to school on my birthday. Not always but most of the time I either talked my mom into letting me skip school or she would check me out early. I don't work so I don't have to dread going to work on my birthday.

I recently graduated and I'm not working or back in school yet but it did bug me when I was really little. By middle school I was skipping a lot so if I didn't feel like going I didn't go.

It doesn't so much bother me as much as it bothers me that other people do when I want to give them a fun day for their birthday. Schools are so stupid and not understanding.
