I'll mention it to Fred the next time we chat. I can see the upside to it but I'm sure he knows more about the downsides of the process. As in maybe a lot of products can't be pre-ordered? (I personally have no idea as I've never been on the purchasing end of things with EF, but I have purchasing experience in other industries.)

No way. It's a very special treat and only happens two or three times a year.
This is understandable. Didn't realize it had already happened two/three times a year. Being here since only October, this is the first time I actually caught/seen one.

I know I searching for a certain topic, I ran across an old forum from 2012, it didn't have any responses, but the question was something I had been trying to search lately as well. With that being said, not sure if this would be the place to put it but on some product pages you have the rank of "Top 10 (toy category)", "Top 50", & "Top 100", maybe if that rank could become clickable and it took us to a page that listed those top 10 products, or top 50/100.

I think most of us would agree that the current follow-up system can be inadequate sometimes. What do you have in mind, Stormy?

The trouble with this, I think, is that Eden doesn't always know when or if an item is coming back in stock. Sometimes contracts with toy companies, etc, need to be reevaluated, and items that EF thinks are coming back might not actually be coming back. Also, a toy company could very easily discontinue a toy even though Eden still has it listed as being simply out of stock here.

One problem may be that I believe there is some law about how long stores can hold onto someone's money before shipping the item. Or maybe it just requires a notification to the customer and getting their approval.

I don't know what the law says, but I assume many people would be upset if they pre-ordered and had their credit cards charged but the item still hadn't shipped 30 or 60 days later. Depending on how often items are received by EF for restocking and how many are received at a time, it could take many cycles to fulfill backorders. The number of backorders should probably be limited to mitigate this problem, but then where to draw the line? Setting a limit for backorders is similar to just letting the product run out of stock. And if there were a limit that had already been exceeded, new customers would be in the exact same situation as they are now with out of stock items.

One exception would be if EF can reliably receive enough stock to satisfy demand. If they could place an order each month that was big enough to satisfy all pending backorders, then no one would have to wait more than 30 days for their backorder to be filled. It would be similar to making a custom order, where EF orders the items for specific customers who have already prepaid.

I think it would be nice if you could shop EF by price. I think it would make it easier for a newbie to the site, and help a lot with add-on sales. Since having to go to a type, then choose the price there, back and repeat, can be a hassle (going from type to type to browse). I'm thinking toys in price tiers. All toys. Just a different tab, than what's already there. I love the tabs that are available, but I feel like you have to be specific about what you're looking for in order to browse.

I'm not a big fan of the pre-ordering. There are a lot of toys I'd love to be able to pre-order, but can't. If the toys sell out in pre-orders, how does that work out for the rest of us? It puts us out and we're having to wait even longer. I would suggest that EF get a better handle on their re-stocking dates. The alerts for products doesn't give much notice to someone who is waiting. An accurate re-stocking date allows people to get ready and keeps them attentive to the site. If there is no re-stocking date, they may go else where.

Ok... I am going to do my best to explain this
Price

Oh!!! We can upload pictures here too! makes it mucho easier! It's not on the tab though, but when you go into select various sections (like dual action vibes, g-spot, strap-on etc...) it is there.

I agree with you though about the pre-ordering idea. I personally would love to see a countdown feature or something that is updated daily saying at this time and date there are 3 Elevens in stock.

I just tried to do a comparison of the Smart Wands so I could see all the pro's and con's side by side.

One of the things that are annoying me about shopping and using the comparisons is that on the new product page layout, if a colour is sold out, it will no longer show up. Now, if you go to compare two items and your want ALL the comparisons, you have to click on each colour, click on compare. So if a toy has three colours, you have to click on each colour, then add it to your comparison. If a colour is out of stock, you can miss out on your favourite reviewers pros and cons.

Is it possible to get all the comparisons for the toy with just one click?

I imagine that would be annoying. I passed your comment onto the developers.

Thanks for taking the time to do that for me, Woman China. I knew about that feature, though. I was just thinking about all items, by price rather than type. That way you can see all things at once, rather than having to narrow it down. As it is now, in order to price shop, you have to go into each different toy category (dildos, vibrators, anal toys). I'm a habitual browser. It would be nice to look at ALL toys in a price range, material type, etc. Not everything separate. I'm probably not explaining myself well. Thanks again for making that for me. I appreciate you going the extra mile.

*I just got a visual of a "count down" email from EF. lol What if they were to do that and within the few days proceeding the arrival of the toy, they sent blaring e-mails saying "THAT HUGE COCK YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR WILL BE BACK IN STOCK IN 36hrs and 19mins!!!" lol I know that that wording would NEVER happen, but just thinking about it made me giggle. Tee hee.

Either stop or cut way back on the amount of jelly toys carried. It is fine for things like vibrating rings but not for penetrative toys. Also bring back books.

I guess you have to be careful with those that they aren't people who are just mad that they didn't win. Sometimes people get bitter, but to judge and entire community is disrespectful. People get put up because they did something very well, anyone who is trying to take away from that should be ashamed.

That sounds like an awesome idea!

That's what your bio is for. You can put anything you want in there.
What is the point of asking people their thoughts if you are going to be rude and shoot down all thoughts. If you don't like it, there is no need to reply in a rude manner, you could simply skip over the post and keep[ reading, or stop asking, since EF is obviously not taking anyone's thoughts to heart.
