While I'm thinking about it, should the name of these threads be changed? Community Events Committee makes it sound like there is a group of people on a committee rather than something that is open to every EF member.

How can you tell how tall he is. For all you know, he's 8 feet tall and the picture was taken from 50 feet away!

Over the weekend a longtime friend of mine from Boston came to town - his band is on tour and we played a show together. After the show I suggested we go to my favorite restaurant in Chinatown. All night my friend kept talking about getting exotic tropical drinks, so when we go to the restaurant he ordered a Mai-Tai. Me, and most everyone else jumped on the band wagon and ordered one too. I am not normally one for mixed drinks (I prefer beer & straight bourbon)... but it was really good! That was the first time I ever had anything like that, aside from a Margarita.

(I tried to keep the story short )

My husband is a whiskey on the rocks or a jack and coke kind of guy.

I hate dark liquors.

At least we both like beer!

I am really looking forward to that. I am hoping I can finish up in time (a lot of late nights lately).

It should be good. I told my wife that I need to visit several local brewpubs on Sunday to do some "research".

I do enjoy scotch, straight or on ice... but I don't like bourbon on ice.
