Hmm. Email me about that, because I'd have to run it by Gary real quick.

I especially like the "new to the site? Click here" button, adding verified tags back, adding gift cards to our dashboards, the mentor/editor tutorials, and post-graduation evaluations (in some forms, taking into account Kindred's thoughts)

Toy recycling yes yes yes. A workshop please, Tim? Im sure you can think of a good idea for this one.

No to the props thing because I think it might make others feel like its a popularity club, even though we know its not. I think reviewer spot light is good enough.

A get together, yes sounds like fun. Chicago or LA anyone?

No to activity badges, I think Eden is a bigger site than the average forum where people get titles for each post. Ive never been a fan of them.

Home parties yes please!

And post graduation evaluation yes yes.

The taste is acquired I suppose. My mom is totally a wine enthusiast and she drinks some of the most foul expensive stuff that I can't stand. I think wine is like beer, you either like the dark or light and not much in between. For me, I don't see the point of drinking fake stuff because of all the extra calories. You don't have to consume as many calories to get drunk. I don't drink to get drunk though, so I don't care as much about price.

Has anyone tried the Skinny Girl Martini stuff? I'm dying to try it!

I like discussing politics dont get me wrong. But when I come on Eden I love that its one place I can get away from it and not hear peoples views on politics. Thats just where I personally am coming from. Meet me in person I will talk ot you all day about politics if you wanted.

The toy recycling was me and you lost my proposal and I never had time to re-type it. If there is still interest, I still have my contacts with the companies and can re-do now that I do have time. I know Fred was interested too, so I can get on that again.

Was anyone interested in that?

Actually the lingerie thing was going somewhere but Jezel vanished. Anyone else want to partner with me on this? I need help with it.

Yes to reorganizing the forum categories. There are just way too many of them!
Yes to archiving older threads.
Yes to opting out of fliers and catalogs.
Yes to adding gift cards to dashboard.

cirtiquing mentors is an amazing idea. and yes, gift cards on the dashboard.. so easy! its so hard sometimes to keep track, esp with awarded gift cards from vids and eden lit.. and even worse when returns paid for originally by gift card are done.

Honestly, "real" or "fake," the kinds of wines I like to drink are usually sweeter in general, and would have more calories probably than "fancy" wine. And to be even more honest, I don't think there's much of a calorie difference between an $8 bottle of corked wine and an $8 bottle of wine with a screw cap.

Also, some interesting information to consider: screw top caps are used when the wine bottler wants a softer finish to the wine and if the wine is delicate enough to warrant not wanting to contaminate the flavor with the taste/aroma of cork. Riunite is one of the finest wines in Europe and they almost exclusively use screw tops on their wines to remove the "snob" factor and to make table wine affordable for every table. BUT and this is a BIG but... it is the same wine favored at wine tastings all across the Champagne region of France.

I am in support of critiquing mentors too. I'm surprised we have not done this already.

yeah, i can see it permeating into other aspects, especially if it's a charged election. I stand by the voter registration one though. the process can be complicated and it's not so much political as bureaucratic.

I actually didn't lose your proposal, I just didn't hear back from you after you said you wanted to update it. I've got the original that you emailed Gary last year. Go ahead and send me an email if you'd like me to send it to you so you can revise that one, or you can go ahead and type up a completely new one to look over.

I didn't say that's what I prefer to drink. But yes, there is a difference when you compare the 3-5% alcohol volume to the 10.5% of the $10 bottles I have found.

There is really a difference in price between screw and cork? Simply by using a screw top it decreases the price THAT much? I've never heard of such a thing. I viewed it as the cheaper wines are softer because they are fruitier with less alcohol and that's why they CAN use a screw top.

Name one of your wines and I'll try it. I'm always willing to try new stuff.
