That's a shame, Amazon's pretty great. I find it easier to use than Ebay.

In our little town we would be so lost with out Wally World. We would have to drive about 60 miles to get anything we need.

There was a learning curve for me, too---it's hard to make a completely navigable website that has as many functionalities as Eden does, I guess. On the bright side, everyone's helpful in pointing you in the right places until you've got your feet under you.

For what it's worth, it took me less than one day to find most of the hidden gems on this website when I was "new", a few weeks ago.

It's scientific terminology. The basics of it are pretty obvious inasmuch as there will be an edge of the forest abutting the clearcut, but most people probably wouldn't make the leap to gather that for a certain distance into the forest from the edge there will be significant ecological changes. Edges are also prone to getting hit hard by winds and a lot of edge trees tend to blow down during storms.

Awww haha I'm flattered. Yea, I hate that I have to do even more clicking. I could have easily been left on the main product page instead of hidden behind yet another link, and then I have to hit another link to put them in the order I want.

Yes, I love that free 2 day shipping. That was genius on their part.

There's a learning curve I think. It took me a while to figure some things out, but others I figured out right away lol.

I'm an ecologist too, so I guess I have to know what it is. I guess that's why I'm not so popular at parties.

You are obviously a better navigator than I am. I am still finding new stuff.

I find the prices to be shitty and the quality of the service the same.

we use walmart for most of our shopping but I also go to other stores just for their sale or cheaper items. But without walmart and thrift stores it would be hard for my son to have any clothes, I just got him 2 pairs of summer shoes for $10, I can't do that anywhere else.

I think I'm just used to the formatting. My husband and I are kind of internet gold-diggers.

Same here I hate having to shop at Walmart in my college town, but I simply boycot the Walmart brands.

The only problem I've ever had with Amazon to be the fact that it's sometimes difficult to get things grouped together with shipping. I've seen some better prices elsewhere on some things, but for the most part, I'd rather spend a few extra dollars to make sure that I can return it if I want to and that if it never shows up I can get my money back. I know with Paypal Ebay's the same way, but if I want it now, Amazon can do that and Ebay can't always.

Same here, but I'm still not a fan of the new product pages that were changed months ago. I find the ones used for lingerie to be much more user friendly.

I used to be organismal, and my specialty was aquatics, but I decided that I couldn't get along with other scientists who's research I deemed "unethical" (pretty much everyone), so I switched to ecosystem. Plants, specifically. I'm still basically learning about plants, but I'm working more with equipment, and making it work, and my advisor does a lot of the actual "plant work".

technically you are not supporting walmart when you get their brand, most generics are made by the same exact companies as the name brands
