I can never get anything cheaply on ebay, and when I see a good BIN price its got outragous shipping. I don't need to pay crazy prices for things I can get fast and cheap elsewhere. Ebay is one of those things that if your needs are part of the most common stock, then you luck out.

Technically when you graduate, you are trained to practice on all species. However, most people either go small animal, farm animal, or equine. I primarily practice on dogs, cats, and exotic pets (ferrets, rabbits, birds, reptiles, etc).

Thanks! Fortunately, we have a really good equine vet that we mainly use and access to several large animal clinics in the area.

My elderly (13 year old basset hound) recently started eating her own shit as well as that of our other dog. No changes in food or anything other than she is going blind and is nearly completely deaf. Is she going senile?

My dad tried this when he was dating my mom and her cat was crazy. He brought a nice normal barn cat, and the barn cat stayed normal, and the crazy cat stayed crazy.

They were both nice pets by the time my siblings and I were eventually born, but not less crazy.

If you have the interest, the knowledge will come.

About the only piece of advice I can give you with respect to ecology is this (and I realize this may be too late for you) - do your studies in the general area where you want to live for the rest of your life. It's really hard getting a job in the south if you've studied in the north, as the ecosystems and organisms are completely different. Don't study in a temperate clime if you want to work in the desert. And so on. Probably only the field of law is as particular as ecology in terms of where you study mattering so much.

Unfortunately, the vet I take my cats to did recently retire. Sigh... But there are still several clinics available. But I will keep you in mind next time I have a question.

Coprophagia (eating shit) can be caused by a number of things. Sometimes it's purely behavioral. Sometimes it can be a symptom of something else.

nah, she just chases her tail then bites it, then looks at us after yelping as if we could have changed the outcome lol. Shes a maincoon and talks a lot.
