Ok, I'm going to start working on the forum posts first thing tomorrow to start raising money for our Thanksgiving families, in the mean time you can start sending in donations to me. They can be gift cards from points or that you've earned.

This will all be in my announcement tomorrow, but if you want to sponsor a Thanksgiving family and want a head start, get searching for an agency in your area and get all your information in. The first two people who email me to volunteer and have all the info, and can absolutely do the legwork / shopping, are in.

Just wanted to throw that out there real quick before asking how long donations should run for Christmas and when we should start and end those. Monday the 28th through Tuesday the 13th? Is that enough time do you guys think? less

An angel tree coordinator could provide you with a whole family if you asked early enough.

In our church - each family adopted a whole family - I'd say something like "Family 1 is 3 kids, a boy who is 2, a girl who is 4 and an older boy who is 10" etc - and someone would adopt the whole family. less

If you want to sponsor a family for Thanksgiving or for Christmas, do the legwork and figure out if you can handle your local agency of choice's requirements and then get with me ASAP!
