I love hearing all your ideas! We can't do them all, but I am always happy to hear them and try to make them work out where and when possible!

We had talked last week about creating separate accounts for eden on the social networks, and that is what a lot of people do. It's like making a separate one for your job vs personal life.

Eden is all about protecting others' privacy and allowing us to be open about this kind of stuff without the added grief.

I do think a non-social network way of entry would be well received.
I would definitely agree with that. And if you guys can think of a good one, make sure to let one of us know. We're always looking for new ideas to expand things for the community.

Many of us have created Eden-only FB accounts, so it's not like we're sharing our perversions with our rl friends and family. I can see why some people have no interest in even doing this, but it's an easy way to enter the contests and still have anonimity.

I am not positive here, but, I think raffles might actually be one of those things that has some specific laws about how and if it is legal. Don't quote me here, but it is worth looking into of course!

Yeah, it would probably have some legal implications if EF hosted it. Is the community blog technically part of EF? Or perhaps EF could sponsor it through someone's private blog. Just a thought.

Another idea about mentoring- I had also brought this up in the RPW, it is about creating some type of student deadline for reviews.

I am so sick of having to cancel all of my classes because the students got a freebie and were done. I feel like letting all those little slips go could be costing eden a lot of money in the long run, and I just don't know if there is any way to prevent that from happening with the way a lot of my students have been.

I think a raffle might technically be gambling, and if that is the case (even though its small and for a good cause) you can see the problem it might create.

You could refuse to offer the free toy option for students. That way they have to supply their own toy and really be serious about the program. I've thought about this option.

Wild random thought, what if we did some kind of Bingo? You would get a number with each order or even if you participate in one of the clubs or meetings. Gary could make up a bingo card and the first one to get a bingo would win a prize or GC.

Yes, you'll be able to donate through points or through purchased gift cards. Donations will be run the same as they were through Taco's fundraiser.
We should have an EGB PayPal account.

Well it's up to the mentor for the most part. As reviewers we have a 2-3 week deadline, and not a lot happens with it, I just think Eden is a tad lenient on that. To me it is basically stealing if you do not write a review.

I have had countless students who sign up and then don't do anything, then I've had some who wait to get the toy and then drop off the face of the earth. It's like, hello, stupid, you can basically work for more stuff ....

Anyways, I just wondered if there was any way to protect eden from the long term losses that could come of this.

/end rant lol

Is that an option? That sounds like it would weed out more of the less serious students.

I thought that having a window of 2 weeks with no communication would automatically cancel the class. A deadline, I can definitely see the logic in that, but it would have to be generous. We give a regular reviewer 3 weeks, so someone who is new and sending their review back and forth could take longer. We obviously could not make it less than 3 weeks.

Sure, why not. Just tell the student up front that you do not participate in the free toy portion. If they do not like it, they do not have to be your student.

Yes I meant communication wise, as long as my students let me know what's up it's fine but I don't hear back from a good 50% of mine and end up cancelling the classes.

We should. I've brought it up before. Gary's all for it. Now we just have to make it happen somehow.
