Scratch! Or I get the higher quality mixes from Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. I tend to like them better than the "super moist pudding in everything" types you'd get from other stores.

What about frosting? I always make that from scratch. Cream cheese frosting is the best that way.

I don't bake that often but it's about 50/50 for me. It depends on the type of cake. But my frosting is always scratch.

Scratch. I find that from scratch doesn't really take any longer than baking from the box.

Neither, if I want cake I usually just buy a cupcake at a bakery so I don't have a whole cake at home.

Lol, sadly, from a box D: I don't trust myself making them any other way unfortunately!

I bake from scratch everything but strawberry cake. I keep trying new scratch strawberry cake recipes, but they never taste like anything. (And these are strawberry cakes using strawberries, not from scratch cakes using strawberry Jell-o.)

I prefer making them from scratch. It gives you much more room to play to your individual tastes than working from a box.
Sometimes I get lazy, though...

I always use a box when it comes to cakes eventually though I will venture out an try making from scratch. I have done other things like cookies and what not from scratch though.
