I like my olives fresh, but I hear from my Greek friends that there are no such things as black olives but they are purple olives that have changed color because of the preservatives. So I eat them in the olive bar with the pits.

:x I used to love black olives. As a kid, I'd really dig into a can of black olives, and drink the juice. @__@ But then I made the horrible mistake of eating waaay too many... My stomach did not appreciate that. Since then, I rarely eat them.

I definitely like green olives better than black!!! Green olives come in a million different flavors and varieties.... black ones are just boring to me. I also use green olives in all kinds of things I cook.... sauces, soups, stews, etc.
