You can do it with little veggies or lots. If you arent sure if youll like id just mix up a normal fruit smoothie and add in a handful of spinach. Each time you make it add a little more so you adjust. Than try adding in a little less fruit and maybe some kale or kiwis. Basically anything green avocados, cilantro, celery, green apple, etc. Just find the combo you like. A little yogurt with probiotics as a base. And a little honey if you need to start off sweeter and your set.

My favorite so far is banana, spinach, kale, green apples.

If it was just my husband and I that wouldn't be a problem, but we live with my mom and my brother, and my brother has his friends over all the time, and makes a lot of dishes that my husband doesn't want to wash because it was from my brother and his friends smoking up and making a ton of dishes.

Did you know your sinuses are also connected to your digestive system? It's true, people with congested sinuses will generally have some sort of congestion in their large intestine!

Only one member of my family will eat lettuce with me..
My boyfriend wont eat lettuce but he will eat spinach. Have you tried using spinach or kale instead of lettuce as a base?

I love green apples, cilantro, and kiwi! I'm not so fond of spinach, though, so the adjusting trick sounds like a good idea.

Here's my video of this recipe...(queue dancing...and that means I want ALL OF YOU TO DANCE...AAAAAAND NOW!)

I actually finally got a chance to try hummus a few weeks ago. I hadn't wanted to get my own thing to try if I was going to end up hating it, so I waited until a friend had some. I have a hard time trying to describe the consistency, but you can get a lot of flavors to try. It has the consistency of like, refried beans almost, but a bit grittier.

Kind of nutty and buttery. I like the kind with peppers in it or garlic so it depends on whats in it. Its really yummy on just bread itself.

At this point, I slapped a lid on my pot and let it simmer. To be honest, as soon as the greens and potatoes are tender enough to blend, this soup should be done. I wound up leaving it over heat until my rice was ready, though.

Extremely green, extremely fresh, and very very delicious!

It's not even cheese-based cheesecake, it's like a blended nut pate'. Looks fantastic. I made some hours'd'erves (French on the fly being not my strong point) like that once, but savory and flavored with mushroom and thyme.

And it's interesting Starkiller87, because when you don't eat well and incorporate some green in your world, it's such a massive change!

I love fruits and vegetables, I'm just not a big fan of the ones people usually term as super foods. With the exception of berries, that is.

Neat! Does one influence the other more? Like, if they're both congested, am I better off taking measures to address the sinus or the intestine?

Melissa, I want to ask---how did you first become interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine? I can see it's really influenced your life a lot. What were your biggest resources when you were studying it?
