Pierogies are similar---pretty much invite a kitchenfull of people and make enough to last a month... but then eat them all that night

How about a spicy 'Thai grilled meat salad'? I usually use grilled steaks, but I know a lot of people don't eat steaks, so you can pretty much substitute it with any meat you prefer.

gyros would be awesome! I also remember a Greek Chicken salad in the the edible bowl. I have yet to find a good recipe for it yet though.

Spareribs, naturally. With a simple BBQ sauce baste, nothing fancy to start off with. It's the preparation that makes all the difference here. You can pretty much use whatever sauce or rub you want after the first step.

Yeah, I haven't had much dessert since the Truffles meeting! I should get on a nice summer sorbet...

Or a nice dessert to go with ribs...

so many great ideas!

I do a copycat Olive Garden Ziti Al Forni. It is very easy( although I don't do the pasta from scratch) It makes about 2 pans worth.

I second the Sorbet idea! Any desert would be nice too for the next meeting.

So, how do you all feel about making homemade eggrolls?

These look a lot easier than I had figured. Not sure if I would make the wrappers but I am sure I can buy them here. Defiantly going to give this one a try! I love eggrolls as an appetizer but I think they could be a great main course too.

Oh ya, I LOVE my cast iron skillets. My wife still has a hard time with the "No soap" washing deal but she can not dispute how good they work for fried chicken or potatoes. lol

One of our favorite dishes to take to Potlucks is Sweet beans. I would love to see others variations, not that I don't like the wife's version (I can't stop eating it) but other ideas are always welcome.
